What stars has PBC created?

The current popularity level of boxing in the US prevents stars from being created. Top Rank used to be the masters of star making, but today they have none even with the most skilled fighters on the planet ATM.


Outside of the US the sport has stars, but that's it.

Haymon has totally failed to create any sellable stars with the pbc ponzi scheme of fixed rigged set ups. He's blown over $500m on the PBC failure. There is only one way to create a star, risk him against the best and see if he survives and prevails. Of course taking risks with his designated key assets is something haymon never does unless absolutely forced into it. Something happened to force him to risk Wilder in a real rematch vs Fury. Perhaps he has run out of fix money? Perhaps the powers that be turned on him because they see Fury as having more profit upside than Wilder who still can't sell anything on his own.

Les Moonves forced Haymon to do the first Pac vs Floyd fight. The intent was for Haymon and Floyd to duck Pac forever. Most don't know that.

Those Golden Boy Promotion fighters were always signed to Al Haymon. They were never signed to GBP in the first place. They were only fighting with Golden Boy Promotions on a fight by fight basis.

None of them were under contract with Golden Boy Promotions outside of Canelo Alvarez, Abner Mares and Lucas Matthysse. Al Haymon with the assistance of Richard Schaefer only used Oscar's promotional company as a tool to help launch his own stars on that platform.

I'm starting to believe that the people that post in threads like this fall into 3 categories.

-Living under a rock/stuck in the past
-From the UK and have 0 visibility into North America, nor understand how big the PBC on FOX deal is or how it ties into sports in America
-Paid shills


Boxing in America hasn't been this healthy since the 90s. FOX and ESPN picking up boxing (contractually, NOT counting the time share era) has been the reintroduction to boxing that America needed....it is going to take time, yet it is off to a great start). HBO damn near buried it towards the end. The coverage across all networks is as big as it has ever been.

Who has brought boxing back into the mainstream over the last 2 years? PBC
Who airs Training camp Countdown shows, studio shows, and fights EVERY month for 2 fights a month (non ppv) PBC
What was the most watched combat sports show in America last year thanks to the new FOX deal, even outperforming UFC? PBC on FOX


Who has an app that has production value similar to 1990s Wrestling? DAZN

Who has failed to garner any interest for any fighter outside of Joshua/Canelo? DAZN

Who has failed when it comes to producing any content for any fighter outside of Joshua or Canelo even on THEIR OWN YOUTUBE CHANNEL? DAZN

Where to boxers go to minimize their profile and kill their own career? DAZN

Where do you want to go if you want to fly under the radar and not be noticed as a fighter? DAZN

Who paid Mikey Garcia 7 million to fighter Jessie Vargas in a completely meaningless fight that had 0 hype? DAZN

I don't understand how you can be an advocate for boxing and also be a DAZN shill/fan. I've had DAZN since day 1 and it has done nothing but dissapoint me. They FAIL to garner any intrest in the sport.

Crab in the bucket theory. DAZN is literally like the one crab at the bottom of the bucket that is still trying to pull FOX and ESPN down. Boxing is PRIMING and RIPE to break out...yet DAZN is like that one crab that is holding it back.

IF you want GROWTH for the sport, you literally CAN NOT be against PBC/TOP RANK/FOX/ESPN.

DAZN just doesn't move the needle in any way, which is NOT healthy for boxing.

There are no hard feelings, this is nothing emotional, this is nothing that is biased. The simple fact is this DAZN has less of an outlet than HBO...think about that for a second.

DAZN's lack of ability to garner ANY interest for fights is just mind boggling. Even Canelo's star has FADED since being on DAZN.

Tell me one thing they did for Canelo outside of 40 days? They had him on a Complex sneaker review show on youtube.

What else?

Are Canelo, Joshua, GGG on ESPN or FOX shows? Are they trending on social media? Is the mainstream talking about them based on DAZN or their past?

Joshua, Canelo and GGG or ANYBODY on DAZN will NEVER be featured on anything ESPN, FOX, ABC, CBS etc for anything outside of tiny paid segments.

It will literally be impossible for DAZN to have ANY outlet the way they are currently operating.

The alternative is the internet....yet the problem is DAZN is TERRIBLE at their own internet marketing and promotion as well. They can't even produce any content for anyone outside of their big 3 "stars".

Can you show me 1 piece of evidence, JUST 1 of any type of promotion that Golden Boy did for the Charlo twins? Just 1 thing..it shouldn't be hard since GBP promoted them aggressively right?

I can literally post QUALITY content and promotional videos straight out of PBC on FOX or Showtime youtube that have over half a million hits each promoting the fight.

Nobody else is producing this type of content for their mid tier stars.
