I don't really think promoters make stars, they make themselves and their potential competition can help bring increased popularity too. Just look at Fury, I don't think TR have had any real impact on his popularity, his fights are actually generating less interest as time goes on it seems. Wilder didn't really have any traction for that matter either until AJ brought lots of new eyes to the HW division.

Golden Boy was the promoter that took him to a word title. Not PBC.

        Is that clearer?

If not go back and reread the question I posed in the first post.

PBC isn't a promoter, so of course they're not the promoter that took him to a world title.

But your thread asks what stars PBC has created. PBC has only existed 5 years. It takes longer than five years to create a star. So of course the stars they've created fought for Golden Boy previously.

But the list of fighters I posted became stars with PBC, not Golden Boy.

Ok, then just say that. None of the stars PBC created were built from scratch, without Golden Boy involvement and contribution. Outside of Errol Spence and Gervonta Davis.

Some of the fighters you listed aren't even stars. And the others were significantly grown to their level of notoriety under Golden Boy.

              It is what it is.

He might be trying to do a Wall Street style pump and dump.

Spending money to artificially inflate value then selling off for a nice profit.

i hope so or i hope he's lining his own pockets with fighters purses. its the only logical explanation on why he would pay wilder so much when hes such a huge flop. haymon still wins because he still gets paid. his investors...well too bad!

Spence fought on Golden Boy cards just like everybody else before PBC was created.

I don't understand the point of your thread. That PBC can't create stars without Golden Boy? Five years ago, most of the guys I listed were completely unknown. They're major headliners now because of PBC's TV exposure. Would have made no difference if their early fights were off TV fights on a Golden Boy card or off TV fights on a Gary Shaw card.

In 5 years, will you credit Tom Brown for all of PBC's stars?
