Spence fought on Golden Boy cards just like everybody else before PBC was created.

I don't understand the point of your thread. That PBC can't create stars without Golden Boy? Five years ago, most of the guys I listed were completely unknown. They're major headliners now because of PBC's TV exposure. Would have made no difference if their early fights were off TV fights on a Golden Boy card or off TV fights on a Gary Shaw card.

In 5 years, will you credit Tom Brown for all of PBC's stars?

As I understand it Errol Spence never signed with any specific promoter coming out of the Olympics. But I could be wrong.

i understand what youre saying.....but i can tell you this....it wont change...no matter how much noise we try to make...80-100 of us that post daily here arent going to make enough noise....and another 100 on ESB arent going to help make a difference either

i get it...its a noble cause....but its not going to change much...weve been complaining for years now too

take a look at wilder/fury 2....i know wilder wanted an immediate rematch....bob arum swooped in and immediately delayed it....and i gave him hell for it....as a fan i wanted it right then and there....i cursed him to holy hell

fury fought bums and wallin could have ended it and scored an upset.....

i look at it now and realize that it was a perfect storm....they timed that thing out and got superbowl run....college football playoff run....the fight, for the fighters, will probably do almost double what it would have done if they ran it right back...its going to be a much bigger fight now and the fighters and both sides will end up benefitting

most big fights will come to fruition if everything goes the way they are supposed to

yes there will be times a fight marinates too long and then and upset, or something, happens that kills it or never allows it to happen...thats just life...thats just the risk involved.....but usually they happen...more often than not....

these guys are all in the business of making money...the managers...the fighters...the promoters....ive accepted that this side of the sport exists and will continue and its part of it all.....i cant be with some of you and live in this fantasy world where these guys are always making the best fights or making them too early and just abandoning the money/business aspect of the sport

for example....the charlo/canelo situation.....this isnt a situation where one is 25 and the other is 32....where one is 27 and the other is 35 or so.....they are both about the same age....

if charlo takes the fight now for 10-12 million....yeah thats great.....but what if he goes another 2-3 years and remains unbeaten? then they can still fight at a respectable age and charlo might take home 20 mil while earning during that time.....

its a gamble...a risk....but its weighed and all the parties(charlo and haymon and whomever else) understand the risk involved...its calculated.....
