Canelo wasn't green Mayweather just understands distance and how to BOX and outworked Canelo period. Even as a Mayweather detractor i can say this for a fact .

Of course, Saul has become better since 2013, but lets not act as if his age and lack of experince were the main factors that enabled Floyd's lopsided win. The different in skills was the main factor of Floyd schooling Canelo so badly + his style being the hardest one for Canelo - he always looked less than impressive against slick boxers and always will

IDK why people keep bringing up that bullshet excuse saying Canelo was too young and too green for Floyd...
      That's bullshet!
Canelo demanded that fight! He got it and he got his ass schooled!
      No excuses! Simple as that!

and i bet you credit pac fighting de la hoya at 147 just cause de la hoya the crack head said he can get down to 147.

Canelo weighed 165 fight night, he was very healthy, and he is 22 years old.

just as an example of the age...Usain Bolt ran his world record at 23.

People who dont do sport put too much emphasis on age.
Because after Floyd drained TF out of Canelo at 152, Canelo never fought at 154 ever again.

You’re aware that Canelo was 15 when he turned pro it would be like counting an amateur record of an American and saying he’s not green because he had 50 amateur fights from 15 to 18 before he turned pro. If they fought today Canelo would knock Mayweather into Gayweather world with no catch weight bs of course

Oh yeah, after fighting at 155 for 4 straight years then having to strip all of his clothes to shed the last bit of ounce. You really think Canelo fought at 155 because the 152 catchweight didn't affect him?

Where Canelo still struggled to make weight and had to strip the last bit of his clothes.

Why do you think Canelo fought at 155 catcweights immediately after the 152 catchweight?

and how many fights at 152 did he have? why did 2 154 pound champs fight at 152? obviously floyd was scared and worried. this is his MO. rig the fight in his favor, get in there and see whats up, if his opponent is comprised dominate, if not just run out the clock and rely on the judges.

same way Manny was to old..even tho 5 years later he is still world champ, ranked top 10 p4p and was in the running for fighter of the decade

Same Way Jmm was to small but a great win for Manny years later and then he ko'd Manny

Same way Mosley was "old" But Floyd was damn near the same age when he fought Manny

                      Its call biased ass posters............
