The only good win Canelo had at the time was Austin Trout and that fight was very close. The KD won it for Canelo on my card.

The 152 catchweight diminished the win a little bit too. Canelo signed the contract though so it's nobody's fault except his.

Canelo was canelo. Flat footed and easy to hit with the jab.

Yeah, we all know Floyd's a PED cheat. Nothing new. Also uses illegal IVs during the Pacquiao fight, in order to mask all the PEDs he was taking, and for the benefits of using illegal IVs.

Floyd was just THAT much better. Wasn't even close. I do think 152 is too small for Mr. Bulky Canelo. But he signed the contract, and ultimately it was skills, and not weight gamesmanship, that gave Floyd an enormous advantage.

Of course, Saul has become better since 2013, but lets not act as if his age and lack of experince were the main factors that enabled Floyd's lopsided win. The different in skills was the main factor of Floyd schooling Canelo so badly + his style being the hardest one for Canelo - he always looked less than impressive against slick boxers and always will
U just named 2 Olympic gold medalist , and another accomplished amateur in vargas who had a 100-5 amateur record . Canelo only had a junior amateur career . That's a big differnce . I think it was the right time for the fight . Canelo possibly could have benefited from another fight before floyd but he took the money and I dont blame him he was a unified champion . Not to mention how much cinnamon improved after the mayweather fight. He was too green in comparison to mayweather but he was def the top 2 hardest fights floyd could have taken in a weight class he was too small for ( catch weight or not canelo rehydrated big as per usual , and mayweather didn't). I think the timing was right , that fight boosted canelos career huge and he improved fast after it . He was quite crude before that fight but has toned himself into a very solid boxer these days . Lead in his feet or not , but that's why he will always lose to a boxer of Floyd's caliber , his feet . Although his become quite good at walking his opponents down and Chopping them down to the body . Good work reneyso for noticing that and working hard on it with saul since the floyd fight .

Those guys were all Olympians! Canelo had no amateur career he had 40 plus fights but 75% were cab drivers.
