    lineage is shlt

    absolutely 100% meaningless

triangle theories do not work in boxing

it has been a clearly obvious fact, that the lineal champ is often not the best man in his division... on MANY occasions

way too many occasions for lineage to be a... " thing "... lol

recognizing lineage is lazy, and short-sighted

Canelo was the lineal middleweight champ despite... 1) never fighting a middleweight opponent... 2) never weighing more than 155 loooool

lineage is shlt, a truly dreadful benchmark

Adonis Stevenson was the lineal champ, despite the fact that Kovalev was clearly the best light heavyweight on the planet

Fury is the real champ because he beat Wilder the first time around, and will probably beat him again in the rematch

Stevenson vs Kovalev was a mandatory fight. Kovalev was Stevenson's mandatory. Kovalev ducked the fight and refused to proceed.

JakeNDaBox is always shilling the lineal title. It still matters to him even if his man crush Wilder doesn't care for it.

Far as Joshua is concerned, I don't think it's the title there so much as the means of them. Joshua is holding Fury's belts. Fury earned those belts from the man, sanctioning bodies did their bull****, Fury lost his belts without losing in the ring. Lineal is nonsense, but being the man to dethrone Wlad and still being unbeaten, that makes you better than the johnny come lately who cleaned up your leftovers.

Joshua can't get a better win than Fury has. Best he can do is stack lesser wins until the Wlad win itself doesn't look so good. Fury fought Wilder, loads reckon he won, Josh fought Ruiz and definitely lost....it's not even a hard choice.
Great post. The real fans share this view....

Lineal title means something but I dont consider fury to be the lineal champ anymore . He retired but I guess technically he is still the last man who beat the man , but I dont put too much into it , it's simply promotion . Iam guessing you arent a fan of the mythical p4p conversation either ??
I think that was a name bet years back. I didnt even notice it was still there.

As for mythical p4p it mattered once, doesn't really matter now as much.

A lot of those posters seem to be ducking this thread....

You realise Wilder said it in his own press conference?

The lineal title can’t be stripped if the fighter is hurt unlike these slimy organizations

Being the man who beat the man was, is and always will be extremely important.

You realize that unlike UK fanboys, we don't feel the need to believe every single thing our side says.

Why did he do that? Please add that to your post if you're going to throw that out there.
