    Lineal Heavyweight title is "bull****"?

For all you Americans out there that were promoting Fury as not only a better, more worthy, higher ranked heavyweight than AJ in the build up for the first Wilder fight, but were talking non stop about how he was "lineal champion"....does Wilder calling it bull**** change your opinion? Are you still going to post on here about how this is a "champ v champ" fight?

I don't consider Fury the lineal champ given he was out for 2 years with his issues. IMO its a cheap promo tool for ESPN.

The TBRB has wilder and Fury ranked #1 and #2. I think the winner establishes a new lineage. I personally will see the winner as the new lineal champ because the TBRB has them ranked as such.

Your name says LOL @ ali Holmes. Iam guessing this is to fuel an argument not a debate ,but heres my 2 cents anyways . Lineal title means something but I dont consider fury to be the lineal champ anymore . He retired but I guess technically he is still the last man who beat the man , but I dont put too much into it , it's simply promotion . Iam guessing you arent a fan of the mythical p4p conversation either ??

Well, for my part I never said Fury wasn't lineal nor did I ever say lineal means all that much.

Far as Joshua is concerned, I don't think it's the title there so much as the means of them. Joshua is holding Fury's belts. Fury earned those belts from the man, sanctioning bodies did their bull****, Fury lost his belts without losing in the ring. Lineal is nonsense, but being the man to dethrone Wlad and still being unbeaten, that makes you better than the johnny come lately who cleaned up your leftovers.

Joshua can't get a better win than Fury has. Best he can do is stack lesser wins until the Wlad win itself doesn't look so good. Fury fought Wilder, loads reckon he won, Josh fought Ruiz and definitely lost....it's not even a hard choice.

I don't care what Wilder thinks. The lineal title is the real title.

And it doesn't matter whether you consider the lineal title vacant due to Fury's retirement(s)/vacating the other belts voluntarily/PED issues or whether you still consider him lineal on the basis that he never lost the titles in the ring.

Whoever wins Wilder vs Fury II is the real heavyweight champion of the world, and at that point the lineal/Ring/WBC title are one.

Wilder himself said defeating the Lineal champion was more important then winning multiple belts last year . Wilder lies ,he’s bitter he didn’t win so now has to go against what he was trying to do last time .

Usually when a lineal champ retires or is out for a long time the #1 and #2 guys left fight to determine a new lineal champ.
That never happened so Fury has as much of a claim as anyone. To be the man you have to beat the man.
Blame these fighters and promoters for not making the best fights at their peak.

Lineal means nothing. It’s an ESPN invention to fool the casuals.

I know in the UK it's common to just believe anything Hearn says, regardless of whether he's right or wrong.

US boxing fans don't have that level of devotion.

Along with the rest of the belts. Yes I agree. The boxer makes himself The Champion. Not these bs ass corrupt titles no matter if they are man made or mythical.
