    Parker!?!?

At no point in his life has Joe Parker been among the top 3, let alone #1 or #2.

He won a vacant belt in a controversial fight, defended it against nobodies, then sold it to Joshua in a fight where he turtled the whole time just trying to survive.

I don't, but loads of people reckon TBRB is the best source for honest ranking done by expert opinion.

He was ranked third by them on Dec 2017. He held the third rank until Aug 2018.

Here's the thing. TBRB being full of integrity moved Parker from their fourth position to their third position not after he beat Cojanu or Fury, they were unranked by TBRB, but after he began negotiations with Joshua:

Isn't it neat how you can move up in rank overnight when you're getting ready to fight Joshua?

Yeah, Parker's never been a real third man.

He won it against Ruiz in a fight many thought he lost. His defenses came against Razvan Cojanu and Hughie Fury, both of whom have lost to every single good fighter they've ever faced (taking into account Sam Peter is now 487 years old).

you're repeating what others have said, but Parker actually won that fight, go and watch it.
Hughie Fury is better than all the other opponents wilder fought except Ortiz and Tyson Fury. You can knock HF, but he's young and has lost to Pulev, Parker and Povetkin all of whom are in the same bracket as Ortiz and Whyte. He didnt get beat up in any of those fights, his problem is he has no punch whatsoever..it's also his dad's fault for putting him in those type of fights so young and not building him up. He's only 24yrs old right now, that's how old AJ was when he made his debut.

btw just because ive said the above doesnt mean im a HF fan, im just saying he's not a bum and he's certainly better than you give him credit for. Parker only just beat him.

Sam peter is 39, considerably younger than ortiz.

Another point. did you know before AJ-Parker, Parkers mum literally spoke to AJ on the phone and said she was 'worried for my son'?.
AJ got told by parker that he can't box for 12 rounds. AJ specifically said he'll go and prove he can box for 12 rounds.
AJ then met parker's mum after the fight too and told her 'your son did well'.
you cant ignore those type of context.
im just sayin..you bring **** up you have no right to bring up, devoid of contexts.
you dont go at wilder with the same energy.

              Yeah, as it should be.

              Number 1 v Number 2.

Let’s not forget Fury was he last Ring Champ at HW, but he was inactive too many days, but he never really lost the title. So i think it’s right that he gets to fight for it again in a fight with the top two fighters.

I'm obviously looking at Boxrec. Only an idiot would use Ring Magazine after Golden Boy Promotions bought it and the ratings committee publicly confirmed that Golden Boy corrupted the ratings and they all quit in protest.

So to confirm, you agree with the rankings that have Joshua at no1 and Usyk ranked above Fury?

                  Got it.

Parker was widely seen as rank3 at the time. Therefore rank 1 vs rank 3 for a unification fight - that seems a very logical fight to have put it on the line. You could argue it was more obvious who was rank 1 at the time following that fight than it would be after the rematch in this scenario.

Hindsight people can argue Parker hasn’t beaten x and y but at the time he was unbeaten and the likes of wilder had ducked the chance to unify against him.

The lineal title is and has always been about #1 vs #2.

And Wilder called Parker out multiple times. Parker wanted the Joshua fight instead.
