- -Son of Goofus offered 162 lbs to TUE 51-0.Again, when a ggg/Ward fight was a real possibility (not when Ward was injured, not when Ward was having legal problems), team ggg insisted that the fight could only happen at 164. This was after approving 168 for both Froch and Chavez Jr. They knew Ward would be hard pressed to make 168 and 164 would be out of the question. They could act like they were interested in a Ward fight without having to fight him. After the fight fell apart, Ward moved up to light heavy to fight the #1 guy in the perceived killer Kovalev and ggg drug the #3 or #4 welter (Brook) up not one but two weight classes for a fight. So who was looking for touch fights and who wasn't. At the time I heavily chastised ggg for this but in hind sight, it was brilliant. Ggg made millions vs Canelo that he wouldn't have made with a Ward loss on his resume.

I don’t even like Canelo... I’m just not a delusional moron like yourself.
Canelo consistently fights top opposition year after year.
Andrade has never faced top opposition at any point in his career.
If Canelo wants to challenge himself by fighting at different weight divisions he can.
How about Andrade challenges himself at any weight.Comment

How about Canelo fight the other champions in his division instead of looking for weak links (Rocky Fielding, old shop-worn Kovalev) just so he can say he's a champion in a certain division.I don’t even like Canelo... I’m just not a delusional moron like yourself.

Again, I don't support not fighting the other champions in your division regardless of who the fighter is.
I don't support Sugar Ray doing it. I don't support Roy Jones doing it
If you want to call yourself a champion in a division, your first goal should be to completely unify.
Which is why I also say that Charlo & Andrade should fight each other if GGG & Canelo won't fight them.
I don't support belt shopping, sorry.
It's another reason I have Crawford as my P4P #1, because he completely unified 140 before moving up to take a trinket at 147.Comment

Canelo unified with Trout at 154
Unified with Mayweather at 154
Unified with Jacobs at 160.
He has also fought Lara, Cotto, GGG x2, Kovalev etc.
I genuinely don’t like the guy but how can you complain about that resume?😂
The vast, vast majority of all time great fighters have fought across various weight divisions.
It’s a way of CHALLENGING yourself. SRR did it, Hank did it, SRL did it, Roy did it, Floyd did it, Pac did it and now Canelo is doing it. But unfortunately some sad b***ards still whine and complain saying he should’ve done this, he should’ve done that. Get a life!!Comment
