Well, that stuff with the weigh in and Shields' constant hyperbolic self-promotion does begin to wear on the nerves.

She acts like she punches like Wilder, when she has 2 stoppages in 9 fights and 3 of her other opponents have been stopped by other fighters.

She claims to be the greatest of all time but she has single digits fights under her belt.

Braekhus has more undisputed title defenses than Shields has pro fights. Braekhus has beaten 17 other big 4 belt champions, defended her 2 belts 25 times, 3 belts 22 times, 4 belts 10 times, and 4+IBO 8 times.

There is some merit to the self-promotion, because obviously she's getting the attention, but it's the way Shields goes over the top with it. She tried to make herself the victim when her brother nearly murdered Habazin's trainer.

Imagine how much Lomachenko or Inoue would be getting crapped on right now if they were already comparing themselves to SRL or Mayweather.

That's the equivalent of what Shield is doing here. Placing herself above the accomplishments of women like Braekhus or Laila Ali or even Holly Holm with 9 fights under her belt.

Her wins against Hammer, Adler, Crews-Dezurn, Gabriels, Nelson, and Hermans are legitimately great wins and she deserves a lot of credit for them.

Just not "greatest of all time" credit like she wants.

Because her last fight got cancelled due to her brother nearly murdering someone live on stage, and because she's basically claiming to be Floyd Mayweather crossed with Deontay Wilder after 9 fights and 2 stoppages.

That's why she's getting attention. Fair or fowl, agree or disagree, that's why.
