Woman boxers literally never get threads made on them here

Yet it seems Clarissa Shields is getting a lot of attention...amazing isnt it..She must be a huge star or on here way to be one

There's a few of us quietly rep the women's sport here, man, but yeah there's not much of it so and the threads don't get many replies so I can see why you'd think there's been nothing up til Claressa.

Personally whilst I'm not particularly a fan of Claressa's I do want the women's sport to do well - for a coupla reasons - and I see Shields as the most likely vehicle of expanding it, so I'm kinda rooting for her success even whilst I thought her accusations of racism against Habazin were unfounded and unfair.

Way I'm seeing it the sport needs to expand it's fanbase and women are a largely untapped market, further if we want our sons to get involved in the sport and for it not to get banned or some ish we want women onside and promoting the womens sport is the best way to achieve that.

Finally of course sport is just good for people, men, women whatever, and for my money it doesn't really matter the level in some respects but boxing is the ultimate expression of human competitive spirit whether it's club level or international elites squaring off, male or female, amateur or pro.

Because Women boxing is boring and the quality is no where near as good as the men.

Maybe she is going to be a big star. She can beat everybody. She is a nasty person and as big a bragging boxer male or female as there is in the sport. I can't fault her fighting. She takes on all comers and wins with room to spare. She is a very good champion and it looks like nobody can beat her. It's her personality that could use improvement but it just gets worse with every win.

exactly..this isnt even a mega fight and will more then likely be a 1 sided drubbing...yet its threads on it with emotional posts

Aren't the threads mostly made by boxingscene admins? ... maybe they are paid to or want to put some attention on women boxing.

I've seeon some posts on woman boxing in the past though.

she is fighting in a weight class no one gives two shits about, all the talent in female boxing is in the lower weight classes. also, her style is not that pleasent, can't crack an egg (to be fair most women can't). we have had threads about female boxers before, katie taylor also gets attention, so does amanda serrano and breakhus. and to finish, there are better female boxers than her p4p

Women boxers should believe in gender equality and fight men in their weight class. This way they can prove that women are equal to men or, if a woman beats Fury and Wilder and Joshua, show us that women are superior.
