Fight will still be exciting between AJ/Fury (Can Fury outbox AJ the way he did WK & DW? Can Fury take a trademark AJ uppercut/combos?) or AJ/Wilder (who is gonna get the KO?). No matter if it happens this year or in two years. If it's in the UK I'm going!

It works both ways...... no one is considered #1 until they fight the best and take on all challengers and champions......

Fury is the ONLY fighter in the division to actively seek out and beat the top guys, in their home countries..... Joshua and Wilder have done nothing in comparison.
        Very good post.

It's not really true - that's probably why they lash out of you. Miller and then Ortiz were chosen before Ruiz...

And glassjaw AJ seems to have more balls than any other current HW. Imagine AJ at the same stage in his career as Wilder or Fury - having fought the same quality opponents they fought. We would rightly be mocking him. Guy has only had just over 20 fights and he is already showing their cherry-picking up...
            Nonsense...

Fury went to Germany to fight Klitschko and the US to fight Wilder.

AJ has NEVER been in the away corner.

Pretty sure AJ fought Ruiz in US and in Saudi.

Pretty sure Fury took 2 fights before taking the rematch against Wilder whereas AJ went straight back in against Ruiz.

Pretty sure Fury went to Germany and to the US because he had no choice. Joshua fought Ruiz there voluntarily.

Pretty sure Fury's second best win is against Derek Chisora....

Joshua was never #1...... he got beat and battered all over the ring middle of last year, by a fat Mexican.

We can discredit any one easily..... Wilder is the longest reigning champion..... and Fury is fighting him in his backyard, again.

So, to my OP...... Fury is the ONLY fighter taking on reigning champions in their home countries..... Joshua and Wilder are not doing that.

That doesn’t count against him at all huh?!?!

                  NO?

                  Didn’t think so
It does count against him but a loss means nothing in the course of a career. Just like Wlad lost against those 2 bums. I think Ruiz will probably rank above the guys (Sanders and Brewster?) Wlad lost to. We also need to find out how good Ruiz is. He looked pretty good against Parker.

We won't really know anything until Wilder and Fury start fighting more current top 10 fighters. Because - say what you want about AJ - he will be fighting people in the top 10. Wilder is great at knocking Ortiz out. I give him that. And Fury is great at fighting nobodies while declaring himself the best fighter in the world. Respect!

Oh and for those saying Fury isn’t the lineal champion....

                    Who cares?!?!

The Ring Magazine title is on the line as well....

So that means the winner will be an UNDEFEATED WBC, RING AND LINEAL CHAMPION........

Which makes the winner the NUMBER ONE HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION IN THE WORLD
You obviously didn’t read my post at all. I said that relevance is based on popularity. Joshua is clearly relevant being the most popular, based on sales, of the heavyweights.

For the record I do think Ruiz was relevant and I still think he is now - clearly not to the same level as Joshua.

In your opinion the winner will be number one in the world. And if you want to believe they are lineal too - then so be it. That doesn’t make them either, it just makes them that in your view.

AJ was in the home corner both times you fanboy moron. YDKSAB...

Fury went to Germany and beat the #1 HW in the world. AJ hasn’t done anything even comparable to that.

If you wanna bring resumes up, AJ lost to Andy Ruiz Jr.😂😂 The end.
