i understand as someone who was in the business where you would have a different perspective on it....and thats cool...i aint mad.....like ive stated i see no harm when the fighters are happy and appear to love the guy...

unless you truly believe haymon is a cult that has hypnotised guys to thank him every time out and speak highly of him....i think hes doing alright
I think his contracts are too restrictive, and promise next to nothing. No minimum number of fights, no minimum purses, just his "best efforts". He does have "gag orders" in his contracts, and any fighter who says anything negative is subject to damages, but I think that most of his fighters are satisfied with their current arrangements. There are several that I have spoken to personally, who are extremely unhappy because they arent getting enough fights, but they keep their mouths shut because they dont want to wind up on the shelf.

That being said, the issue is bigger than Haymon. If you want to change the rules for him, then you have to allow Carl King, Cameron Dunkin, Rick Glaser, and every other manager you may like, or dont like, to also control all the event revenue for every fighter they have under contract.

Personally I think its a bad idea, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion.......

            Crawford is an actual fraud.

Its all coming to fruition now. Getting exposed so bad... Would fight Vargas or Garcia but not Porter. How sad..

Instead of a full step forward it would be a quarter step forward in competition for Crawford. No thanks.

He will fight the winner and still won't fight a notable 147 pounder.

Don't believe nothing he's talking about. His problem is Haymon is destroying the predatory system that heavily favored people like him. He's cutting out the middle man while putting more power and money into the hands of the guys taking the punches. They hate to say the good ole boy system destroyed. The system then Arum bragged about letting the blacks and Mexicans fight and they collect the money. Look at all the money being invested in boxing thanks to Haymon. Anybody that has a problem with what Haymon is doing has another problem with him that they won't admit.

and right on cue, thats where it ends up. It always comes down to race. The last resort of the uneducated. If you cant win an argument on the FACTS, then just cry racist. Works most of the time....

And for others reading this post, the issue is bigger than Haymon. If you are fine with Haymon (a manager) controlling event revenue, then you have to be ok with Carl King doing the same thing.

The reason its a bad idea, is because the MANAGER is supposed to have no loyalties to anyone other than the fighter. A fiduciary duty to him, and him alone. When a manager ends up having other loyalties, to sponsors, arenas, or network partners, lines get blurred. Who exactly gets Haymons "best efforts"? The fighter? Fox? a sponsor?? Its no different than if a divorce lawyer tried to represent BOTH spouses. No matter how honorable he is, someones interests are going to be compromised.....
