Shawn Porter is a draw NOW because he fought guys that were a draw and beat them. It's irrefutable that Shawn Porter will fill more seats than Crawford no matter who Porter fights.

Terence Crawford has not faced any draw, thus he cannot be a draw outside of his home town. The only thing casuals know about Crawford is him attacking that dude who had his car and his baby mama attacking some chick in the street.
Crawford is a bigger draw in his hometown than Porter is in his hometown.

Porter didn’t become a draw after beating Broner. He was still fighting here at Stubhub half empty for cheap tickets. He hasn’t fought since the Spence fight so there is no way to say he is a draw yet.

He was banking on Lopez being a hometown fighter with a big buzz but that’s not enough.

Lopez lost a lot of his momentum with his last fight and been as quiet as a hooker in church trading for Commey.

I ain’t mad and glad he’s focused but he needed to sell this fight more than Crawford.

At the end of the day we have some boxing today!! World class boxing!! Nothing better.

      War Lopez!! Catrachos stand up!!

A lot of these boxing bills they have only one good headliner fight and the rest are useless/uninteresting fights, They need to spend some of the money on making the undercard decent. Get this right and people will buy.

Don't change the fact that Crawford, because of who he keeps fighting, sells even lower on a regular basis.
When Porter is the B-side he gets about 10-13k attendance. Crawford as an A-side has had 7 fights within that range, Porter only 3. Porter as an A-side drew about 9,000 in New York against Berto, Crawford drew 14,000 against Khan.

Yeah...because of Khan. Let's not kid ourselves. If you don't think that's the truth of the matter, compare the draw against Benavidez. Nowhere close.

The attendance was 13,000 against Benavidez, still much better than Porter's best attendance as an A-side.

Arum is absolutely right here. Fighters need to fight in their home towns a lot more and that will boost ticket sales. Juan Diaz used to have Houston rocking when he fought here in his day. Errol Spence has a packed house vs Ocampo when I went to that fight, and Crawford had a huge crowd when I went to see him v Benavidez.

Arum just needs to take his own advice on the other part, making 50/50 fights. From the guy who brought you Crawford v Khan and put it on PPV, it’s a little shocking to hear about him wanting to make 50/50 fights. If promoters want an easier time trying make 50/50 fights they should stop making excuses and start working with each other. Only so many solid matchups you can make under one promotional umbrella.

Crawford's home city all showed up. Great. Now let's talk about what I really asked you - which is how many he sold that were NOT Nebraska natives.

That’s probably in America. Not other countries.
