Why would it matter to TV where the fight gets broadcast ?
The reasons they don’t fight at home are the promoters take the easy money grabbing site fees from venues who want to have boxing there, or they want to push the fighter in larger markets to get them more known down the road. I’m cool with both of those l, by the way, but I just think that better opponents need to be selected overall in the sport.Comment

Big mistake. But that's more about who Crawford's fighting than anything.
You put Crawford in there with Shawn Porter in NY, CA or NV, it's going to sell out. Not because of Crawford, because of Showtime (Shawn), especially off his performance against Spence. Then Crawford gets exposed to a larger audience that wants to come see him fight. Now of course, I think Shawn Porter bullies the hell out of him and goes to a contested SD (which will cause people to say Crawford was 'exposed'), but then we at least know for sure whether people's eyes are lying to them about Crawford, like Spence said.
The other thing to consider: nobody's going to fly to Omaha, so you're only getting local people. People flew to NV and NY to see UK guys come over and fight.
At some point we need to stop blaming the venue and come to grips with the fact that Terence Crawford is an 'eye test' fighter, is NOT P4P anything, hasn't been tested and isn't a draw. I mean that's fine - he can keep collecting his guaranteed 3-5 million for sparking out the C and B classes. More power to him.
LMFAO Shawn Porter hasn’t sold ***** out!! Wtf u talking about!?
None of these guys can sell PPV’s or tickets. Only PAC and Canelo.Comment

It's simply this. Arum is at these events around the world. He diligently watches his fighters no matter where in the world. So, he just wants good matchups to watch when traveling so far at times to be at the fights. Can't blame him.Comment

I was there last night and it seemed like a decent crowd. The upper seats weren't filled but the rest of the arena was. Not sure how many tickets were comped though. IMHO the card was good. Crawford/Lopez/Conlan, along with Kambosos and three top prospects all fighting. Not bad at all!Comment
