Arum should just buy up half the ticket and give away at huge discounts or freebies like PbC do

Whole point is as that the majority of sports fans don’t travel to see sports on the USA. If you have fights in the home
Territories then you appeal to the locals to come out and support their own. Of course this means a robust promotional campaign and that’s what Arum doesn’t do because he got used to HBO doing all his promotion for him

      Huh??

Arum has done like 7 or 8 Crawford fights in his home town.

you must be thinking of PBC, who have done only ONE Charlo fight in Texas.......

Isn’t that what Arum the Promoter job is , to build interest in the Fighter / Fight that will translate to Ticket Sales

Fans aren’t buying tickets because most think this fight is sh.it and Bud hasn’t been promoted to the point where fans outside of Nebraska will pay just to see him fight regardless of who the opponent is , That’s why they aren’t willing to spend $ to watch it live.

Arums right though it’s a harder sell when the Main Event already seems to have a predetermined outcome , but that’s almost exclusively what type of fights Top Ranks Top End Talent do. How many 50/50 toss up fights say in the last 3 years have Crawford, Loma, Fury, Valdez, Gilberto Had. between all 5 they’ve had a total of 1-3 fights where you didn’t know who was going to win before the fight started. Top Rank has no problem putting their second tier guys in great matchups ( Beterbiev , Jose Ramirez) But they baby their Stars too much so they won’t catch a L and it hurts Their overall marketability.

          Boxing politics reason why

          ESPN vs DAZN vs PBC

Always gonna be a fighter from one network tied up due to another
          $$$$

Big fights revolve around 2 networks making it happen ,currently ,main issue. Ppl don’t want to see fighters fight janitors

You aren't getting what I'm saying.

Shawn Porter is a draw NOW because he fought guys that were a draw and beat them. It's irrefutable that Shawn Porter will fill more seats than Crawford no matter who Porter fights.

Terence Crawford has not faced any draw, thus he cannot be a draw outside of his home town. The only thing casuals know about Crawford is him attacking that dude who had his car and his baby mama attacking some chick in the street.

Makes it even more impressive that the Klitschko Brothers and Joshua have sold out football stadiums.

Running or not - being on a bike or not.
              Still very impressive.

I don't think what you say is completely wrong, but it's also not completely accurate, because Floyd Mayweather managed to get all sorts of people to fly out to watch him beat Manny and McGregor.

It does appear they will get decent attendance for today's fight. The upper level only has 34 tickets available and the bottom level every section except for 1 has less than 100 tickets available. Won't be a sell out but better than Beyonce Wilder fights at Barclay's.

Porter has been fighting elite competition for years before the Spence fight and still only sold 2,700 tickets against Ugas.

Porter sold low against Ugas for the same reason Floyd sold low against Berto.

Don't change the fact that Crawford, because of who he keeps fighting, sells even lower on a regular basis.
