Put crawford in Omaha and he sells out. What promoters in the USA need to understand that putting on fights in the fighters home city is the best option. Save the MSGs and the Vegas fights for the super fights. Boxing in the USA has to go back to the local level and grow fan bases. NY sports fans have no attachment to Crawford especially when he is fighting a no name.

somewhat disagree. NY has real boxing fans and a Crawford fight would do real business. A place like Vegas is for the tourists a gamblers, NYC is a legit boxng city. Always has been.

If the promoters weren't so greedy hiking up the prices and putting every big fight at MSG, MGM, Staples Center, Barclays & TMobile arena they'd get more asses in seats.

Look at Manny Thurman, Canelo Kov, Furys 2 fights, Wilder Ortiz, etc. None of those fights sold out. Casuals aren't spending all that money to buy hiked up fight tickets, fly to Vegas, NY, or LA, pay for a hotel, food, transportation etc.

Last fight I saw live was Cottos farewell at MSG I spent a grand on travel food and my hotel alone. $750 for me and my wife's seats which were good but not great. All in all I'd say I spent close to 2 grand for a weekend trip for a fight that was just okay. I'm not saying everyone is spending 2 grand to go see a fight but I think watching at home is just way more practical
