For once we're on the same side of a n argument(on the AJ tactics dept.). AJ ran for his life like a scared glassjaw(like Con v Bud),& Everytime Ruiz closed the distance & tried making it a fight let alone entertaining fight the ref immediately was breaking them up & protecting AJ at all costs by pushing Ruiz to the other side of the giant special ring AJ requested, that way AJ can avoid Ruiz getting close at all costs by instantly using holds to survive til the ref interrupts again rinse & repeat.
Bottom line is AJ is no match for Wilder in any way shape or form as his strategy only works on alligator arms like Ruiz,Wilder would love AJ to employ this runner strategy because Ruiz looked like he would CLEARLY have kod AJ if he hadn't been stifled by AJs running combined with the refs blatant AJ protection.
I honestly have never had a dog in the HW fight sorta speak as hw isn't my main division I've always followed. But bottom line is AJ imho is not truly elite & if he was forced to trade with Ruiz hed be kod 10 times out of 10.
That being said I DO give AJ credit for getting it done at all costs regardless of how scared he clearly is of Ruiz power. Imagine Wilder
