No tears at all, I used to like aj very much and I still quite like him. I agree he's versatile and very very physically gifted and fit.

But I still think he couldn't and wouldn't beat Ruiz in other ways than this. The few punches that Ruiz could land on the evermoving aj were very effective.

Btw, also Fury is very evasive but he does that with the boxing style, not with the rabbit style.

The only problem with Ruiz is short arms and fast hands. He gets full leverage at a closer range and is lightning quick.
Joshua won't have the same problem with Fury or Wilder at all as both are even taller than him and have to make range to get full leverage. He'll get a whole range of new issues to deal with.

Its a simple physics problem really. Any tall man trading with Ruiz up close will likely be knocked down if not out.

He has never boxed like that before in his life and only did it because Ruiz has short arms and fast hands.

He was fighting a fellow unbeaten champion at the time, I think he was nervous about that and wanted to play safe.

The assertion was that Joshua had never fought the way he fought Ruiz, until Ruiz. I was merely pointing out that he had a blueprint for shorter guys with fast hands already, not why he pulled it out again.
