I love Wilder...he's currently one of my top 3 favorite boxers right now but his statement is idiotic.
If I'm being honest here, Deontay lost every round to Ruiz before the eraser...Ortiz boxed him because this is called boxing.
Deontay is mad because Joshua didn't fight Ruiz fight and gave Ruiz a chance to win so that Wilder and Ruiz can have a unification under the PBC banner.
Joshua boxed, he didn't **** and he didn't need to. Wilder boxed Stiverne in the first fight, there is no problem with, you know, boxing.Last edited by Queen_Leia; 12-08-2019, 01:48 AM.Comment

Who give a damn what your opponent weighs?
He got a pay day and went partying, I dont see how thats the champs fault.
Be that as it may, we got a 2X Unified world HW champion.
Something some have been dreaming all their life.
Take your L and move on.
We have other fishes to fry.Comment

2 choices
1) Go toe to toe with Ruiz play to all his advantages and probably get KOed
2) Box smart and win
He made the right and only choice.
I could understand if he never engaged ever his entire career like some boxers and peed everyone off every fight, but hes a knockout artist with loads of power. Hes anything but a boreComment

He only wanted to be undisputed from the comfort of his sitting room.
It's that simple.
Fighting guys ranked above 100 can't make you a unified champ you know.Comment

Deontay is just reveling in the fact that hes the hardest man on the planet doesn't even need to box and that every1 is scared of him
Hes got that big dong big punch street respect
Only 1 hand 1 punch type necessary, just keep pressing the B button (big punch control)Last edited by AlexKid; 12-08-2019, 02:04 AM.Comment

I thought Joshua boxed really intelligently and impressively, no shame in fighting your fight and taking away your opponents best attributes.
The one frustration I did have Wilder does sort of touch on - when Joshua managed to hit Ruiz with a big right, he either stopped to admire his work or he ducked in under Ruiz and tied him up. If he’d landed that right, then got straight back moving with the jab, he’d have more opportunities to hurt Ruiz, but for some reason he kept tying up.
Other than that slight niggle, good performance from AJ.Comment

Come on, comparing Joshua to Mayweather? I’m supposed to see the similarities or I’m a hater? Mayweather is one of the greatest defensive fighters of our time. Joshua’s defense is poor, he had to keep out of punching range for a reason.Comment

I find this quite ironic considering wilder threw almost no punches against Ortiz and just covered up and played it safe till Ortiz started to tire. He knew Ortiz could hurt him and counter him so he barely threw.
I'm sure most boxers are, but wilder is a proper narcissist. Every single thing he seems to say, always concerns himself. Exciting to watch but his personality is so toxic at timesComment

They both imposed the same strategy!
But you'll give credit to one cause he's a PBC fighter but hate on the other cause he's not??
You fuccing lame!Comment
