No, he rejected being forced to fight Breazeale on DAZN and being forced to agree to $40 million to fight Joshua before knowing if Joshua was even available.

he was fighting brezeale regardless...except this one was a guaranteed fight vs aj and for the undisputed...obv on the condition that aj wins.
wilder didn't sign it...he ducked, not even the first time.

He shouldn't have to fight Breazeale on DAZN in order to fight Joshua on DAZN. Makes absolutely no sense to require two PBC fighters to fight each other on DAZN in order for one of them to fight Joshua on DAZN.

Wilder chose to wait and see what happened in Joshua's next fight. Joshua lost.

Had Wilder done what you wanted him to do, he would have stabbed PBC in the back and still not gotten the Joshua fight. Which would have been pretty ******.

I guess that's why he announced Wilder v Ortiz 2 before AJ v Ruiz even happened?

              Bingo.

People just have to understand the concepts implied by putting someone under a contract...It is leverage. it might be flattering, to those who are naive, for example, Don King with all his evil ways, could be very flattering when it was in his interest to do so. But why let someone have leverage over you when it is not in your best interest?

He had already agreed the brezeale fight, i mean that was his mandatory fight.
They were effectively offering Wilder the chance to become a Dazn fighter..and he refused.
Remember Wilder himself previously said that he would sign with Dazn directly without Matchroom...he wanted what GGG/Canelo got. However they told him they'll only give him that if he fights AJ..and then he refused.
it is AJ he refused. He wanted the dazn deal only....he would have happily signed with dazn if it was $20m for brezeale...
but it was 'and aj after that' that got him shook.
for a guy who has the power to ko AJ in 1 round...he has lived under his shadow and avoided him every chance he's been given. You cant just deny that man, we've all seen it several times.
At first i thought it's for clout to build up the fight, then i realised it's deeper than that..he is controlled by finkle and al haymon and has no choice.

seriously look at wilder's face when that deal was brought up, he wasnt even allowed to speak.
i have no doubt that wilder would fight aj...i dont believe he is scared at all..he would have accepted the fight..but he's controlled.
                Finkle's words told the story
he was more bothered about 'eddie hearn matchroom empire' than he was Joshua.

                pick your narrative
                -wilder ducked
-wilder is controlled by al haymon and finkle and has no choice

i pick the latter. people have already said 'when al haymon wants it to happen it will happen'.

Finkle is a shady guy too, ask shannon briggs. shannon didnt even get paid for the klitschko fight. Seriously, finkle took it all.
Shannon Briggs says he was robbed: literally. The two-time world heavyweight champion claims that he is the victim of a massive rip-off, perpetrated by his business partners ...

Wilder vs. Ortiz II wasn't officially announced until four months after Joshua lost.

Wilder said he was fighting Ortiz next during Joshua fight week to put pressure on DAZN to make a new offer quickly after Joshua's fight. That didn't happen because Joshua lost.

Joshua isn't under contract to DAZN, so why should Wilder have to fight his mandatory on DAZN in order to unify with Joshua? Doesn't make any sense.
