    ATTN UK Trolls: Joshua lost

DAZN offered Wilder $20 million for a Breazeale fight and $80 million for two Joshua fights, if Joshua won his interim fight.

Wilder turned down fighting Breazeale on DAZN and told DAZN he'd wait to see if Joshua won his interim fight, before negotiating a Joshua fight.

    Joshua lost his interim fight.

So no, Wilder didn't turn down $100 million because the $100 million was contingent on Joshua winning, which he didn't.

Had Joshua won, and DAZN then re-offered $80 million, or even more, for Wilder to fight him twice, you could second guess Wilder if he turned it down.

But it makes no sense to second guess Wilder for turning DAZN's offer when Joshua didn't end up winning anyway.

Wilder's wallet is the only thing that Hearniacs have to latch on to. They think Wilder lost when it was Joshua spitting out his gumshield and quitting in his corner.

Wilder announced his fight with Ortiz prior to the Ruiz fight so no your argument dont make sense... he always said Ortiz II then Fury then to the local pond to check out the other ducks

Ruiz beat Joshua on June 1. Wilder vs. Ortiz II was officially announced September 28.

Wilder did say Ortiz would be his next opponent a few days before the Joshua-Ruiz fight, but that was done to put pressure on DAZN to quickly make an aggressive offer if Joshua beat Ruiz.

it's because we're sick of seeing the ldbc and wilder constantly lie through teeth over basic facts.
when aj lost, it meant wilder goes back to being irrelevant again.
that's why wilder is now attacking mayweather and mike tyson.
he needs big names to gain clout off of.

btw 'uk trolls'? every time i come on here this is all i see americans saying..whilst you go on obsessing over us.
ldbc xenophobic bs, sums up the american attitude to boxing.

over here, we love the sport for it's own sake..whilst in the US all you idiots obsess over is to see the other side fail, make it about race, nationality etc. yet you dont like it when we talk about Wilder's purse or failure.

When wilder rejected the dazn offer, he did it and even insisted he wants 50% of the cut. His reason for rejecting it was because dazn wouldnt tell him what AJ was getting.
that right there is a man living under aj's shadow.
                more importantly, he rejected it...

it doesnt matter that aj later lost. the fact is wilder consciously rejected $100-120m to fight AJ.

That's why AJ's loss made us think of wilder ie the big money is gone now...it's no longer about 2 unbeaten HW champions.
it wont generate the same money.

wilder wasted everyones time lying through his teeth and making every excuse to reject legitimate offers.

If you're not a troll, this thread isn't about you. There are plenty of reasonable UK fans. The vast majority are. You do have a few psychopaths on this site though and this thread is addressing them.

Wilder's failure? He's undefeated. He's been heavyweight champion of the world five years. He just made $20 million in one night. If that's failure, I'd love to know what you've done with your life.

The fair split on a co-promoted PPV would have been 60-40 AJ. To expect Wilder to betray his partners and came to AJ's platform, 50/50 was a reasonable request.

it doesnt matter that aj later lost. the fact is wilder consciously rejected $100-120m to fight AJ.
No. He rejected fighting Breazeale on DAZN. There's no reason talks couldn't have continued for an AJ fight. The only problem is that AJ lost. Had Wilder accepted DAZN's offer, he never would have gotten the money. The deal would have been canceled when Joshua lost. So Wilder wasn't wrong for turning down the multi-fight package.

That's why AJ's loss made us think of wilder ie the big money is gone now...it's no longer about 2 unbeaten HW champions.
Sucks for AJ. Wilder and Fury, two undefeated champions, will fight twice next year and Wilder will make pretty close to what he turned down to fight AJ, without having to cross the street, and without having to give up control of the promotion.
