In a relatively short span of time, Haymon has become the most powerful man in US boxing. I'd say he understands the market very well. He took boxing from an "out of sight, out of mind" sport hiding on premium cable, to a front and center sport on over the air network TV, with promotion during NFL and MLB games.

Giving out thousands of comps to an American heavyweight champion knockout artist's fight is unheard of.
First of all, it's not unheard of. Second of all, MGM bought the tickets and chose to give them away.

Boxing is a global sport and Matchroom will be fine because it's a global brand. I can't say the same thing about PBC.
PBC is generating more revenue than Matchroom. Matchroom controls the UK. PBC controls the US, but the US is far more lucrative than the UK.

Matchroom is also losing steam while PBC is gaining steam.

Take it from the guy who has been in the business for decades,
Espinoza, "Ortiz-Wilder 2 PPV: Deal didn't make sense for us."

Mikey is the reason the Spence PPV did well. He's popular and hearn wants more subscribers.

So. What would your strategy be? How would you spend your millions to give yourself the best chance of success?
