Nobody of note wants to fight Mikey. He doesn't have a title. He just got washed by Spence. Beating Mikey isn't as big of a deal as it was before the Spence fight. There are bigger names at 147.
Maybe if Mikey plans on dropping down to 140. But who at 140 is trying to fight Mikey? Once again he doesn't have a title. Maybe Regis for the right amount of money. But if Regis plans on moving up to 147 why would he sign where there are no top name welterweights?
Haney vs. Mikey at 140 would be the best fight and Haney is already signed.
If Hearn thinks signing Mikey opens the floodgates he's more clueless than I originally thought.

Hearn sees Mikey as a tentpole fighter. If he signs him, the ability to sign others who may want to fight him gets easier. https://t.co/2owa8aY9wI
