Again, I am fine with any opinion, so long as the reasoning used is factual. Cox reasoning isn't factual. If he had simply argued Floyd isn't a top 10 ATG at ww because he is 11-0 at ww with wins over Manny, Shane, Baldo , Zab, Maidana(x2), Ghost, Mitchell, Berto, Ortiz, JMM and didn't start his career at ww that would make sense.
It is reasonable that he is ranked behind men who spent the majority of their career or began their career at that weight.
$40 mil flat fee....
manny needs to sign with TMT
i will never do business with bob arum
yeah floyd cant control the decisions made by neither guy.... he just made it more extremely hard for them to say yes to his demands.

on the one hand floyd never truly ever fought outside his comfort zone,he controlled every single variable in nonsense ways at times like when he forced nelo to drain from a weight he(fmj) had already fought at to 152, nelo not only was on record not being comfortable but had flat out outgrown that weight & made that clear as can be he was incapable without doing damage to himself, then floyd had audacity to brag about Intentionally weight draining nelo throughout the buildup despite saying for yrs that pacs cw wins don't count even though pac was much smaller naturally than floyd.
I actually have more respect for what floyd did to JMM than what he did to Nelo(& nelo is his career best win that his fans brag about) but when he faced JMM he 1st dragged him up 2 weight classes, made a specific weight floyd wanted, then at the last minute floyd literally changed the weight w less than a week to go,& nsac despite saying the deadline had passed allowed it anyways, then to add insult to injury he missed weight anyways & changed the contract to allow him to fight & also not have nearly the penalty amount specified beforehand that jmm would've had to pay. He made Maidana switch gloves despite them being sanctioned gloves & despite floyd using custom bespoke gloves unlike every other fighter.
But as far as ww the historian is accurate in that floyds resume doesn't stack up to most of those names considering he didn't have many wins against undefeated beltholders &/or who were bigger than him & a few of his biggest wins are very open to debate as far as whether he won or how significant it was due to the other fighters difficulty or how he hamstrung them(Castillo,JMM,Maidana, ortiz,Pac). He Didn't have his best fights at ww one can even argue considering he didn't fight the best of the best wws in their prime, his ww wins were almost exclusively against smaller fighters or 1 dimensionals.
I do give him credit for beating any version of undefeated nelo even one who drained down & lost his power. I consider weight draining far worse than a next day Rehydration clause or dragging fighters up in weight though.
But floyd definitely is still an atg talent & would excel in any ww era(even though hed have a few L's so do all the greats) & YES manny ducked floyd" because he didn't want needles,"bsLast edited by kushking; 11-12-2019, 04:58 PM.

Priceless! Manny earned $160+ mil and you learned nothing but admiration for the most blatant drug cheat next to BALCO Shane that he used to replace manny in 2010.
U sissy like TUE?

He came back after 21 months off and beat the #2 p4p boxer in the world 12-0. His next fight he fought Shane in May 2010 ( as you requested in your thread.)
TUE 50-0 held a big presser to announce he was a billionaire now and weren't working for Oscar HBO for slave wages anymore.
He crawled back like a dog begging Oscar and HBO for a bone. IRS seized his JMM and BALCO Shane for back taxes!
U were slobbering?

Guys like Big Dunn can excuse them as bogus facts.
Now that these guys see that the real world isn't putting Floyd in the ww top 10 all time for the excuses, they want to cry.
