I will forget you said that

Matthyse was a (over-rated) mid-level JWW... who won a vacant title at welter by beating another mid-level JWW in Taylor

      manny-weight... a helluva run... 8/9 consecutive weight-affected fights
Lets not forget Caneloweight. The 155 champ

Hatton’s best weight was 140. There is no dis*****g that.

You can’t even make a credible argument.

Hatton couldn't make 140 healthily for years

Algieri was a junior welter... AND HE STILL IS

But yea thats definitely when its gone wrong, but it feels like it went wrong cuz Oscar was doing backwards weight bully sh^t lol. Not that I think that Oscar wins if hed had made Manny fight him at a higher weight that night cuz Oscar seemed off & Manny seemed on & it likely just wasnt meant to be for Oscar that night weight be damned.
Yeah, people blame the weight on the way that fight went. Oscar was completely shot and Manny at his physical prime and he was a god damn wrecking ball. A few more lbs doesn't save Oscar that's for sure

                It's because you're very young.

How old were you May 5th, 2007?

Algieri was 20-0 when Pac fought him. At that time he had weighed in at or under the 140 limit exactly once. Every other time he was over. Holding Algieri to the 140 limit would not have been doing him any favors.

Hatton had more than 20 straight wins at 140, moved up to 147 and very nearly lost to Collazo. After that fight he moved back down to 140. After which he went 4-1 at 140 (the loss being to Pac) and 0-2 at 147

the dude was - AND STILL IS - a junior welter...

                    Chris Algieri
                    ID# 449201
                    division super light
                    1019-06-01 139 Tommy Coyle 139˝
                    https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/449201

lets lay this excuse-filled nonsense to bed right now

I’m undefeated at 140,” Algieri explained. “Welterweight was never really a division I needed to move up to. I just had great opportunities there. I’m just not a welterweight. My body’s better served for the junior welterweight division.

Ricky Fatton killed himself to make weight... losing (LITERALLY) 40-50 pounds to make junior welter... Hatton was clearly better/healthier at 147, there is no question about that... those last 7 pounds would have killed him

healthy > dead on the scales

like I said, remove Fatton if you need to... but Team Pacquiao played the weight game superbly, pulling the little guys up and dragging the big guys down

explain to me why Pacquiao totally refused to fight the lightweight Marquez at 140?

                    Q. why did Pacquiao insist on a catchweight that was higher than he HAD NEVER WEIGHED HIMSELF... ? lol

                    A. to disadvantage Marquez as much as possible

they saw from the Mayweather fight that Marquez was fat slow and less-effective at welter... and Manny had to eat 6 meals a day including 3am/6am shakes to make 143/144 because he burned off weight so fast in camp ...
