Name 8 fights. Don’t include Oscar, Pac got the Oscar fight only because Pac was replacing Floyd who “retired”rather than risk the rematch at 147.

Oscar/Floyd at 154 is a good one. Oscar/Hopkins too, though I think that was more compromise than demand. 157 favored Hopkins more than Oscar. Hopkins weighed in a pound under, Oscar 2 pounds.

But yea thats definitely when its gone wrong, but it feels like it went wrong cuz Oscar was doing backwards weight bully sh^t lol. Not that I think that Oscar wins if hed had made Manny fight him at a higher weight that night cuz Oscar seemed off & Manny seemed on & it likely just wasnt meant to be for Oscar that night weight be damned.
Yeah, I actually thought it was Pac who set that catchweight just because of how bad of a handicap it was.

nobody said they were all catchweights, I said they were weight-affected

          Oscar
          Hatton
          Cotto
          Margarito
          Marquez
          Rios
          Algieri
          Matthyse

the last 4 were not welters

Pac fought Hatton at Hatton’s best weight 140, unlike Floyd actually.

the unprecedented $3.5m per-pound (or part thereof) weight penalty demanded by Freddie Roach, was the handicap... journalists were gobsmacked at the time, it sounded ridiculous

Oscar fcuked himself... but it is clearly obvious why

interestingly, the only higher weight-penalty in recorded boxing history was ALSO demanded by Pacquiao, on Floyd Mayweather... it was $10m per-pound (or part thereof), and Floyd never hesitated

                Hatton's weight struggles were WELL-DOCUMENTED

the dude would blow up to 180-190 between fights, and then kill himself to make weight... he was a better/healthier/undefeated fighter at 147 when Floyd fought him

I highly doubt that 140 was his best weight at all, pretty sure that he moved up immediately after the Pac fight

it is highly debatable... but remove Hatton if you wish

Also, as I work my way down your list 143 seemed to be Algieri’s preferred weight, if you look at his previous fights. Matthyse had his own 147 pound title on the line so you could hardly expect the fight to be at a different weight.

I think there are only to legit names on your list would be Margo and Cotto.

what sort of nonsense is that? ... he is obviously not a welter, which is why he still fights at 140

I will forget you said that

Matthyse was a (over-rated) mid-level JWW... who won a vacant title at welter by beating another mid-level JWW in Taylor

                    manny-weight... a helluva run... 8/9 consecutive weight-affected fights

How many fights has 5’10” Algieri even been able to make 140 and how many times has he fought over that weight?

Hatton’s best weight was 140. There is no dis*****g that.

You can’t even make a credible argument.
