I’m sure it happens but I cannot think of any high profile fights where the fighter who dictated weight to the other fighter didn’t win.

I can't either...I think a lot of it comes down to setting the weight is one way the A-side can set the rules...usually when you are the A-side you are really good so you don't need a ton of help to be competitive...when you can set the weight, among other things...odds are you can at least make it a competitive fight and you know who is going to win those on the cards. -

There’s examples where they do, like some listed in this thread
But in general you have to remember that often an A-side is usually the better fighter, which is why they’re in that position, not always of courseComment
