    Does the fighter who dictates weight ever lose?

    I’m sure it happens but I cannot think of any high profile fights where the fighter who dictated weight to the other fighter didn’t win.

    I can't either...I think a lot of it comes down to setting the weight is one way the A-side can set the rules...usually when you are the A-side you are really good so you don't need a ton of help to be competitive...when you can set the weight, among other things...odds are you can at least make it a competitive fight and you know who is going to win those on the cards.

            There’s examples where they do, like some listed in this thread

            But in general you have to remember that often an A-side is usually the better fighter, which is why they’re in that position, not always of course
