Who knows what would have happened at any weight/time that GGG Floyd would have fought...but seeing how well Maidana did vs Floyd, I can't see how anyone wouldn't give GGG a real good chance vs Floyd at any weight...Floyd was great but at some point a guy will be just too big.
That fight was at MW and the only thing won the fight for GGG was his size

I just can't see GGG having Maidana work rate for 12 rounds specially being weight drained at 154

I personally think GGG is overrated and manufactured by HBO he was fighting in a weak MW era and still had problems with every decent opponent he fought

Lol idk I think those who don't like GGG are good examples sometimes of those who say 'so and so never wins the big game'...it's only a big game when they lose/it's close (in boxing) lol...if you win the big game then all of the sudden it isn't a big game lol...I would say that holds true for GGG's run at MW overall imo.

So yeah I think GGG is/was great and definitely an ATG at MW so we see that differently...maybe weight drained GGG would have been affected, this is true...but his stamina/work rate is really part of what made him great so I can't see how Maidana's would top his if they were both fresh.

GGG's size did help vs Brook...but that's kind of the point vs Floyd...he may just have been too big and would have been able to bully Floyd a bit...if Maidana could and if GGG could break Brook like that, I certainly think GGG would have a good shot vs Floyd if weight wasn't a factor.

I just don't really see how the Brook fight is a negative for him in this scenario/or how the Maidana fight wouldn't be an indicator that GGG would have a pretty good shot if relatively fresh...if GGG couldn't get to Brook at all and went 12 rounds I could see how that would be bad for him in this scenario.

I like Spence too but if GGG did some sh.it with Brook like Spence did with Mikey I would agree that vs Floyd it may not go his way...but that was actually a pretty impressive performance, relatively speaking, imo for GGG vs Brook.

Not hating on Floyd at all...I think he was great if not a little 'selective' in his later years...but at some point a guy would just be too big for him.

Don't know what those big games that wasn't a big game after GGG won are

Unless you really rated Lemieux highly it's just a fact that when GGG steps up in class he doesn't look impressive and knocks out the lesser opponents kind of like a MW Donaire

Like I said he was lucky to be in a weak MW era and made smart career move not moving up or down

Cool on everything else you said but how is the man manufactured? We practically suck the azz hole out of every American boxing Olympian or anyone American with a great amateur pedigree but this guy is manufactured? Scratches head..I get the criticism and I get not thinking he’s an all time great, not debating that but to call him manufactured. Funny you mention maidana because he exposed a manufactured fighter in Broner fam..you mean to tell me you view Golovkin in the same light as Broner? Honestly?

Why? For the money genius? Any more intriguing questions? Ggg wouldn't lay a glove on Floyd.

GGG effectively scared Floyd into retirement.
              ————-

GGG started his career at 160 and has been there ever since.
Floyd started his career at 130 and won belts at multiple weights.
130 to 160 is 5 weight classes that you and other casual fans harp on about.

Why can’t GGG move 175 or even heavyweight? Only 3 weight classes to 175 after all.

              Just stop

I mean by manufactured as overhyped by HBO like they did with Lucian Bute and made him out to be this monster everyone else was scared of I remember people saying Bute was the best SMW in the world during the super 6

Hell even on Mayweather v Pacquiao Jim Lampley was saying something like GGG is one of the greatest knockout artist of all time do yourselfa favor and watch his highlights on HBO youtube chanel

Now I will say GGG is much better than Bute but the point stands
