  • IF ggg Beat Mayweather @ 154 in 2013...

giving the man the benefit of the doubt let say he wasn't lying about being able to make 154

IF ggg Beat Mayweather @ 154 in 2013, how much credit would he get for this victory?

Mayweather was 36 at the time.

Little, he would be expected to win, but he would be drained a little.

He would have stopped Floyd within 8 round.

    Busted him up good.

    Floyd knew it too.

unusual take on it. I think betting people would turn Floyd into the favorite

Floyd retired because the public was starting to demand this fight

after Pacquiao, GGG was the next challenge to beat for the so called "TBE"

GGG effectively scared Floyd into retirement.

If Floyd went to 160 and fought GGG relatively even, that would have been really impressive...I think almost everyone would have agreed on that.

If GGG went to 154 and won...well I mean some would say he was the bigger man and Floyd was old and GGG did was he was supposed to...if he won impressively at 154 it would probably get GGG a lot of kudos.

Basically whatever happened at 154...GGG fans could say GGG was drained...and Floyd fans could say Floyd was old and much smaller naturally than GGG...no matter what happened at that weight, you would have people still defending either side very strongly.

GGG was in his prime and had weight and height advantage.

He was a pressure fighter, heavy handed, knockout power, a great jab and could walk through anything Floyd could throw at him.

Floyd struggled with guys like that, he also throws unorthodox punches to break down defences like his downward hook.

Floyd couldn't hold him, barely a reach advantage, not sure how Floyd could win.

A bigger champions should always be favorite to beat the smaller one.

GGG was a small middleweight so not too much would have been drained from him at 154.

                GGG wanted the fight.

Floyd pretended he didn't know who GGG was

Depends really. If it was Mayweather in his position, he wouldn't get much credit.
