    for 2 reasons...

    1) if you can make 154, Mayweather will almost certainly beat you... a JMW is not big enough to beat the technical enigma that is Mayweather... it would take a very special fighter, and there have been very few JMW's who fit that description... Golovkin is not one of them

    2) Golovkin would be dead at the weight... he would not be GGG, he would only be GG

also... I do not believe he would have taken that fight at 154
Since Mayweather turned the challenge down you are safe to say that. GGG would not have challenged him at that weight if he would have been drained. Maidana gave Mayweather trouble and GGG is ten times better than Maidana. He would have slaughtered Mayweather and Mayweather made the right call to chicken out.

in that case, he ducked Canelo for years

      do you need a do-over... ?

the same reason why he promised to fight Canelo at 154 and Ward at 168

        to play his idiot fanbase

Bullshltkin promised a lot of silly things... to his silly fans

Bullshltkin Aims High and Low: Would Fight Ward at 168 and Canelo at 154
            http://thaboxingvoice.com/golovkin-a...canelo-at-154/

as you can see from that link, he already lied to you twice... so why should I believe the rest of his nonsense

FACT: if Golovkin could make 154 and be healthy, he would be fighting there

Bro he broke Brook's face and basically ended his career...and Brook posed some good challenges for GGG that Floyd wouldn't have...and Brook didn't really do that much anyway, let's be real...he basically got his ass kicked for 4+ rounds and then landed a few good shots of his own lol.

Who knows what would have happened at any weight/time that GGG Floyd would have fought...but seeing how well Maidana did vs Floyd, I can't see how anyone wouldn't give GGG a real good chance vs Floyd at any weight...Floyd was great but at some point a guy will be just too big.

Canelo tried to outbox Floyd..as the bigger man either one taking on Floyd aggressively and unafraid of his power both give him a good fight and likely beat him..you aren’t beating Floyd by boxing.youll end up with a fkd up face but at that size all they need is to hit the body arms and land one good shot to the jaw.

Damn some of these answers are so ******. “He was scared so he retired”. No dummy he was old. “He would’ve knocked him out”. Well we don’t know that because he’s never been knocked out before albeit at a smaller weight class but the bigger man would be coming down to a smaller one that he’s never fought at so we don’t know how he would look either.

Some of you guys hate black people I get it but this is a boxing website but most of you don’t even like boxing just certain colored boxers and hate the black ones.

So before you say I’m turning this into something about race it already was but I’m not afraid to say what I see although I know you’re gonna tuck your tails and spin it like most cowards do.

Also I’m not even gonna answer the question because I don’t know unless they fight or I at least see one of them fight a slick boxer at a lower weight class.

No willie Monroe and Kell Brooke and Danny Jacobs are not slick. Neither is Canelo although he does have some slickness in his tool bag but with ggg it’s easy to look much slicker than you are.

Ggg is a good boxer just not an all time great in “MY OPINION”. I do enjoy his fights just not his fans.
I actually went to the weigh in at the Hammerstein ballroom with SD. I have a friend who does boxing talks/reviews with a big following on YouTube and we normally go to the weigh ins in Manhattan but he declined and said **** ggg because his fans only like Floyd Mayweather and now Errol Spence because he sparred Floyd smfh. I know longer follow his page but we are still friends.

I said all of that to say that I like boxing and not particular fighters personally if I do not know them. I may like their styles and what they bring to the table it’s their fans and fake news revisionist alternative fact reporters that turn me off.

Have a good day and by the way miss me with the bull****.

after Pacquiao, GGG was the next challenge to beat for the so called "TBE"

GGG effectively scared Floyd into retirement.
Fighting WW’s was GGG’s MO at the time.
