Lomachenko is fighting a winner of Comney / Lopez fight. Let see whom Honey will fight. It will tell a lot of Haney intentions. If no top guy for Haney then no Lomachenko fight. Simple as that.

      That hasn't changed.

But it's still true that Lomachenko dropped the belt rather than have Haney looming as his mandatory.
If you're looking at it realistically, the WBC mandatory wouldn't be called for anytime soon. With the unification not happening until at least spring, Haney wouldn't be getting a crack until fall 2020. Why cant they fight then? Or even better, give me a Loma-Tank fight on PPV instead.

I've never known Loma to dodge a fight, have you? I bet if Haney racks up 2 really good impressive wins in the meantime, the fight will happen if Haney and Loma stay at 135 which doesn't look like it will be for much longer than a year either way.

So why did Arum have Lomachenko drop the belt then?

So now Haney deserves to hold that belt.

          That's it.
Deserves? I guess, Campbell prefered to fight Abdulaev too and get the belt. So, he deserves it more. 😂

Loma doesn't need a fake "Franchise" he's unifying. Devin is be nothing without a fake "Interim" belt.

I don't know man... only they have that answer but don't you think if the WBC was willing to give him that franchise belt and skip him to the front of the line for that title, they'd also be willing to put off the mandatory for as long as possible?

As I see it, the WBC is fine with it because now they'll get full fees from both guys and probably also have some sort of garbage fight for another regular type belt that Haney had before the franchise designation.

Loma dropped nothing, he won the WBC belt and he's on to unification...Devin received "Interim" by Instagram.

Lomachanko won in the ring and he's unifying with or without that BS "Franchise" belt. Devin has yet to fight one single champion in his life.

                It's not complicated.

I'm going back and forth because it's fun but what you wrote is the truth...it's all about the WBC and $$$ with no advantage to the fighters.

Haney preferred to fight Lomachenko for the belt.

So he chose to climb the WBC rankings and followed their rules until he became Lomachenko's mandatory. But now he is blocked from that fight thanks to the Franchise Champion designation.

So the WBC belt that is around his waist is legitimate as far as I'm concerned.

Haney talking the game, but he is still signing to fight nobodies.

                      When will he step up.

4 years and 24 fight and still hasn't

How many more years, how many more fights?
