Assuming the article is accurate, Arum requested Franchise status...so? That changes NOTHING. Loma doesn't need to avoid anyone to fight for unification. You want facts...the WBC was never going to strip Loma for fighting for unification, that's just a cold hard, ugly fact.

Nobody should consider #3 WBC ranked Haney even as interim champ before he faces Campbell (or at least Lopez). Full champion cow's ass!

That's a false narrative. Did you already forget it was TOP RANK who petitioned the WBC to make Lomachenko a franchise champion so that he could avoid Haney, his WBC mandatory? Just like Golden Boy helped Canelo avoid WBC mandatory Charlo? And Haney was SUPPOSED to fight Campbell for the vacant WBC title instead of Lomachenko, who wasn't even ranked in the WBC?

So forget Lomachenko. He vacated the belt he was never in line to fight for in the first place. Haney-Campbell is the REAL WBC title fight that was supposed to happen and Haney WANTING to fight Campbell should be applauded, not ridiculed. Or twisted to make it seem like he was gifted the belt.. Seriously, i don't even understand why i come to these forums sometimes. It's like 90% of boxing fans are 12 year old girls. What are peoples obsession with calling fighters names like bumchenko? Loma is fighting for unification, no need for a "Franchise" belt. It's a useless designation because unification trumps mandatory, period. The facts are that Devin was never going to be next with or without the fake Franchise belt. Frankly, Devin wouldn't even be mandatory If they didn't gift Devin a fake "Interim" belt.
