Lomachenko dropped the belt rather than have to fight his mandatory Devin Haney.

So Haney is the legit WBC champ now until proven otherwise in the ring.

WRONG? Please, educate me on TWO things:
- Since when timeframe for mandatory defence of newly taken belt... against a newly risen mandatory... is anyhow smaller than a year?*
* - also please elevate how multiple belts ownership prior to the new belt should interfere it (increase/decrease).

Also, Haney was gifted the interim champ status just so he would be gifted full champ status without fighting for a vacant belt... after gifting franchise status to Loma.
Oh yeah, it's Loma ducking Haney... a month after winning belt... 5 month prior to fighting for an Absolute champion title!

Haney was in line to fight Cambpell for the vacant belt. Lomachenko was allowed to jump in line and fight Campbell for the vacant belt instead.

Now that Lomachenko's people have decided to have him drop the WBC belt Haney as the mandatory is deserving of full recognition. He has been jerked around long enough.

You are partially correct but Arum never asked for anything from the WBC because he didn't need to, Loma is fighting for unification next.

You are partially correct about Luke Cambpell, he could at his own discretion decide to fight Haney. Luke instead took a fight for more money with a p4p best rather than fight Haney for peanuts. Lomachenko fought Campbell because Luke could fill the 02 arena. Haney was unproven at the time and brought no fan base to the table. That decision was not hard to make. In the future Haney may prove to be a bigger challenge then Campbell but he's going to have to fight the fights and bring the fan base to prove it.

This isn't anyone getting favorable treatment it's one guy aiming for unification and another trying to get to the top and the WBC's ability to extort money from both.

All I know is that Haney and Campbell were in line to fight for the WBC belt that Mikey Garcia vacated. But then Lomachenko was allowed to jump the queue and fight Campbell for the belt instead.

Then, when Haney became mandatory to Lomachenko, Arum asks for the Franchise Champion designation and Lomachenko no longer has to fight Haney.

Those are the facts.

I'm still looking forward to seeing him fight Teofimo. Or even Commey for that matter if he wins against Lopez.

That hasn't changed.
