So yet another boxing "insider" conveniently prepared to overlook Mosley's admission under oath that he cheated with PEDs!

No wonder nothing serious get done about this.

Mosley should never be admitted to HOF. Him and other drug cheaters should, instead, be rewarded with an official "Boxing Hall of Shame"!

      No Lyle!! Don't do it!
Hopkins and JMM..yes. Punish Shane and make him wait a couple of years due to his ADMITTED PED usage. Taylor? I'm okay with that. He beat HOF McGirt pretty easily and provided one of the most memorable fights of all time vs JCC. Tarver? Absolutely not. A lucky punch vs RJJ, a terrible non-effort vs Hopkins, and had a few PED encounters himself. He was fortunate, not great.
Instead of Shane and Tarver: Arce. Yep. 4 time champ. Exciting. Memorable.
Nigel Benn or Chris Eubank. The Hall is calling. And now is the time.

I'd replace Tarver with Sergio Martinez. His middleweight title run was good and he took 4 undefeated records, KO'd iron chin Paul Williams, and beat Pavlik, Chavez jr, and Murray when they all mattered.

Here I am happy, thinking it was going to be a serious rule change that would change the quality of fighters who can get in. Nope. Just shaving two years ofd the waiting period to get in the party. IBHOF still a joke.

JMM and Hopkins are the two all-time great locks. Mosley seems like the third best.

Sergio Martinez, Gilberto Roman, Rafael Marquez the next three worthy of consideration.

agree with the list outside of meldrick taylor, but he was honestly before my time and it's hard for me to comment with certainty, so i won't. i'll just say that he doens't "feel" like he belongs in the hall of fame when you look at his record and compare him to those who i think "belong."

lost to the two best fighters he faced. knocked out by norris and i think his loss to chavez was legit. watch steel's eyes looking for eye contact, he doesn't get it. watch him ask taylor questions, he doesn't answer. he's literally looking to his corner. steele doesn't have a clock in his head. it's his job to determine if a fighter can continue - he literally asked - and he didn't get an answer. i have no problem with the stoppage, and this idea that taylor walked away with the fight until the very end is wrong. he ate very hard counters to the body and head, and his face was a mess. he was not the same fighter [or person] after that by all accounts.

Inclusion of Taylor suprised me too, he was good, but not at the sustained level of a JMM or Hopkins - Martinez outguns him in my mind (just had a look at Taylors record just to remind myself, never knew he had a twin bother called Eldrick...)

At first I was thinking Mosley for SURE! But then you made a valid point??? He admitted he cheated and took PED’s??? So I’m with you NO WAY!

Tarver wasn't dominant enough for me to consider him first ballot HOFer, but that was no lucky punch against RJJr. He talked big to Roy then backed it up. Went 2 for 3 against Roy, in fact, and was very competitive in the one loss to him.
