Amagnin, I understand your point but it does seem to me, based on some articles posted here, that Antonio is setting his sights a bit too high right now. Like all this talk about him being feared has convinced him he shouldn't fight anyone else but a big shot..because he can kill them. Maybe that isn't the case, but I highly doubt no ranked fighter will fight him. Someone will step up and then we'll see one way or the other.

I've seen Tony knock ears off, yes, I have watched him fight...and I praise excitement, but many of his fights are quite obviously not against people at his skill level- whatever that may be. I have the same arguement with Floyd from time to time. I'm not thinking he's a bad ass because his monstrous size helps him overpower fringe fighters. That may be an exciting fight to watch...but it doesn't make someone a good boxer in my eyes.

I did like that post. I'm not saying you're a bad guy..but sometimes you argue with people in a way that makes them pissed off without getting your point across. I was just making a statement on that.

Think about it from Margarito's perspective for a minute. He has been a champ for 4 years and 6 defenses and the best opponent that agreed to face him was Cintron. He is probably frustrated. If he fights a Paul Williams or Quintana, how do you know that people will start respecting him more. Maybe people will dismiss those guys like they say Cintron is a muppet-baby now. He wants to show he is an elite fighter and the only way to do that is to fight an elite opponent.

Think about it from Margarito's perspective for a minute. He has been a champ for 4 years and 6 defenses and the best opponent that agreed to face him was Cintron. He is probably frustrated. If he fights a Paul Williams or Quintana, how do you know that people will start respecting him more. Maybe people will dismiss those guys like they say Cintron is a muppet-baby now. He wants to show he is an elite fighter and the only way to do that is to fight an elite opponent.

To be honest with you, I see what you are saying, but let's take Zab Judah for instance. The man Margarito wants to fight, FLoyd Mayweather, just fought Zab- and won a good victory, but did not utterly destroy him. Let's say Margarito took that fight next- and killed Judah. Killed him. No one can say Mayweather ruined Zab's career, and then Margarito would have a common opponent with Mayweather that could be used for skill comparison, right? So there are fighters out there that Antonio could fight who would not be brushed away due to him winning without him seeing any credit for his success.

Or he could just keep...winning. Eventually he'll get his time. It's all about patience. But he has to realize his name isn't on that "level" yet. Just keep fighting, keep winning, and eventually the pay days will come. And I think Arum's greedy ass is trying to ruin the DLH/Floyd PPV.

Cintron just KO'd Estrada....Estrada gave Mosley fits 10 rounds i think, like last year or so. Marg destroyed Cintron...

I can only think of a couple of guys that would actually add to his resume according to your standards... Zab and Collazo. He won't fight Zab right now because Zab tooled him and decided to fight Baldomir so now he is giving Zab some of his own medicine... nothing wrong with that. Collazo would be an established guy at 147, but that might be a difficult fight for Tony. Collazo is a southpaw and is a slick boxer type. Tony sees himself as proven against the "good" competition, now he wants the greats. I respect him because he wants these fights. Plenty of guys want to shield themselves from a loss to extend their careers.
