So why doesn't he fight people in his same position? Judah, Collazo, Clottey, Mitchell. When the big names refuse to fight you, don't go looking for another bum. Would you even know who Sebastian Lujan or Hercules Kyvelos are if Margarito hadn't fought them?

Mitchell is done, but he has the style that Margarito has lost to (slick southpaw). That's why I would consider that fight.

If they just let you come on here and talk **** to people that don't agree with you, I guess I need to stop checking out these forums. I'm here to talk boxing, not to exchange insults like I'm 5 years old...

Williams will beat Mitchell if he is even a top ten guy at 147. When that happens, any reason for Margarito fighting Sharmba goes out the window. I think Margarito is already scheduled to fight Cosme, but if not then he should go after Rivera imo.

Rivera offered a challenge and Margarito said he accepts. It's just up to Rivera's promoter to contact Bob Arum and set it up. Rivera is a good titleholder at 154 and that's a win (if we judge by Floyd's fans) that would put Tony one step closer to Floyd.

I can even see what people like in Corrales (chinny huge ****er = exciting fights). A few fighters I am totally uninterested in instead: taylor and margarito are two of those.

so I would like to know from people who are fans of tony, what are the things you love about him.

this is NOT a hate thread. I would like to read more replies on the qualities of margarito, than on his shortcomings.

wow!!! you ask this and you know very well If Spinx has fans then Margarito should be a sell out.

I think most of his fans like him because he's never fought any top level competition but claims he's the most feared man in the sport. They also like him because he's shown no promise with his abilities other than he takes and gives a good punch. He's really good at talking but wouldn't have any fans at all if he weren't Mexican, and we all know Mexican fight fans embrace and defend all Mexican fights to the bitter end no matter how much they cheat at the scales.
