It’s the same old thing but in the end of the day Canelo vs Kovalev is a good fight due to Kovalev’s size, power, experience, ability to box and also KO his opponent. We also know that Kovalev will be able to focus on training normally and not draining himself to under 175, which is something I would have given leeway to the critics but that’s gone. It’s a full on good, fair fight now.
A 29 year old Alvarez has been off since May, whereas a 36 year old Kovalev (who usually fights 2X a year) just fought an 11 round fight against a strong young guy on Aug. 24, in which he was hurt and almost KO'd.
Don't seem so fair to me.

Canelo is not going to share his guaranted minimum with anybody, let alone an unknown mando, anyone thinking this is going to happen is not being realstic... It will be just as unrealistic thinking that canelo will go to a purse bid, trying to get either is just being ****** and really throwing away the chances of making a fight..
Like I said, my understanding of Canelo's DAZN deal is that they guarantee Canelo and GBP around $35million for them to use in funding Canelo's fights on the app. DAZN don't pick the opponents or send offers to them, Golden Boy do that, using the guaranteed money from DAZN.

That's the only conclusion that makes sense from the info we have.

Kovalev turned down an initial offer of $6million from Golden Boy - not from DAZN. After negotiations between Golden Boy and Kathy Duva - not DAZN and Duva - Kovalev's offer was increased to $12.

So where did Kovalev's extra $6million come from?

If it came from DAZN, then why did Duva need to negotiate it with Eric Gomez, rather than John Skipper?

The extra money could only have come from Canelo and GB, from the money they were allocated by DAZN.

kovalev money is coming from dazn, not canelos purse...
oscar is negotiating with a budget aproved from dazn, not canelos money... in fact for dazn to get kova they also offered a multi fight deal in case he loses to canelo, you think oscar or canelo can offer that?...
how much do you think canelo makes for his kova fight?
i tell you right now is a minimum of 35mil, kovas money isnt coming from canelo...
check canelos purse vs jacobs, he was paid exactly 35mil, not a single dime out of his check went to jacobs...
Floyd was in the same situation with showtime deal, he was getting paid 32mil minimum and sho was taking care of the events, floyd didnt pay canelo, ortiz, guerrero, maidana, out of his pocket, it was sho putting the money...
i have not seen a single source to imply that canelos money is going to cover the other fighters purses, have you seen one?
do you really think that ggg is going to pay dervy 5mil out of his purse(15mil)?
is called guaranted minimum for a reason...

Maybe the initial $6million came from DAZN, or maybe not.

But how come Duva had to negotiate with GBP, rather than DAZN, to get the offer increased?

If not the entire $12million, the extra $6million must have come from Canelo's guarantee. No other explanation makes sense.

NO! NO! NO! The TRUTH is in your OPINION Golovkin should be have been declared the winner in both fights. The TRUTH is the first fight was a draw, and Canelo won the second. Anything else on that subject, and with apologies to Macbeth, is "sound and fury signifying nothing."

                Money comes from the promoter.

Yes, that's the point I'm making.

GBP fund Canelo's fights with DAZN money, and it's up to them how much of that money they give to the opponent.

                      It’s called a contract Clanelo!

When the World demands the Trilogy and your own promoter is forced to make that fight promise, anything else, specially coming from the fighter is called Fear!
