They had the catchweight to cling on to as the main focus of their hate towards the fight. Now from my understanding the fight is at full 175 limit, so they have to shift their focus on some other aspect of Kovalev like age or inability to take too many punches to the body or mention how Canelo is scared to fight others like Gvozdyk, Beterbiev, Ramirez or Smith and wouldn’t step foot in the ring with them. It’s the same old thing but in the end of the day Canelo vs Kovalev is a good fight due to Kovalev’s size, power, experience, ability to box and also KO his opponent. We also know that Kovalev will be able to focus on training normally and not draining himself to under 175, which is something I would have given leeway to the critics but that’s gone. It’s a full on good, fair fight now.

A 29 year old Alvarez has been off since May, whereas a 36 year old Kovalev (who usually fights 2X a year) just fought an 11 round fight against a strong young guy on Aug. 24, in which he was hurt and almost KO'd.

Canelo is not going to share his guaranted minimum with anybody, let alone an unknown mando, anyone thinking this is going to happen is not being realstic... It will be just as unrealistic thinking that canelo will go to a purse bid, trying to get either is just being ****** and really throwing away the chances of making a fight..

So where did Kovalev's extra $6million come from?

If it came from DAZN, then why did Duva need to negotiate it with Eric Gomez, rather than John Skipper?

The extra money could only have come from Canelo and GB, from the money they were allocated by DAZN.
