Tbh, I enjoy this GBP/Canelo/Ryan back and forth very much. Please continue.
Btw, I hear DAZN is starting with new reality show this fall - The Garcias.

The kind of company that has this kid ranked in the top 10 of almost every organization without having fought anybody of note at 21. He's acting like a diva bc he believes in his own hype & has a big social media following to back it. He might be a big attraction bc of it but hasn't proved much in the ring. DLH spoke the obvious truth about Ortiz(but really shouldn't have) & it hurt his feelings like an insecure teenager. He wants the best, hopefully Oscar throws him into the Lion's Den & see if he can compete with the best at LW.

What the Hell is going on over there at Golden Boy? That place has become an absolute zoo. It seems like all of Oscar De La Hoya's stars are bucking and rebelling against him.

I know in the case of Ryan Garcia, he is being heavily influenced by Canelo Alvarez. He is now even asking to be released from his GB promotions contract. There seems to be be a lot of backstabbing, chaos and mutiny over there.

The fact is Vergil Ortiz is just slightly above Ryan Garcia in terms of being the top prospect over at Golden Boy but Oscar should have never gone public with it.

Crazy that Garcia and his team were the ones running to the press. Now that Oscar has responded in the press they are screaming foul.

Also, for anyone who wasted their time watching the Garcia interview like I did, Garcia was saying how Oscar never calls him directly, but in the same interview his lawyer is contradicting that statement. They are clowns, and Ryan isn’t that good yet, and may never be. He needs to shape up.

You are absolutely correct and I agree! What Oscar said was mostly true but the timing of it was all wrong.

De La Hoya was just being his typical malicious and vindictive self with those comments. His intentions were to pay Ryan Garcia back for not fighting on his Mexican Independence Day weekend card this past Saturday in Carson.

Now how in the Hell can you fight for a company like that? The trust is gone. Now Team Garcia no longer believes that De La Hoya has their best interest at heart.

They feel personally betrayed and undermined by him and rightfully so.

WTF is De La Hoya on? He is supposed to be the adult in the room. This is not a good look for his company, much less for him and his crew of Keystone Kops.

He is a hype job only on tv because of his following
I think it has less to do with that Oscar thinks that Ortiz is better than Garcia at this point in their careers than the fact that De La Hoya is shaming Ryan in the press. Oscar is showing everyone that he is a very small-minded person. We are seeing a public meltdown of Oscar.

Sure ortiz is the better prospect, but its not actually the best timing to say it lol.
Something tells me that there are probably legitimate reasons why GBP is throwing him under the bus. If he's as much of a cash cow as he claims they would humor alot of antics to continue to reap the profit. There are at least 3 possibilities and they aren't mutually exclusive: 1) he doesn't bring in as much revenue with his social media followers would seem to indicate, 2) he's being more of a problem/diva than that revenue is worth to GBP and 3) GBP is taking advantage of his buzz to push other fighters his cards and not compensating Garcia properly for that.

GBP seems to be pushing him to a higher level of competition in Duno and Garcia seems hesitant (wether that be the difficulty of opponent or the compensation for it).
