Why would a promotion company stop talking to the press? The entire point of promoting is to use all channels of media, which includes the press. For better or worse, this publicity only actually helps Ryan Garcia. No body would be talking about Ryan Garcia, had it not for this little locker room drama. My pessimistic nature thinks this is all made up to get people talking about Ryan garcia and gbp.

Vergil Ortiz might replace Ryan Garcia on the Canelo undercard if he's not careful. He's no longer going to be able to ride Canelo's coattails. He needs to take a timeout and really evaluate whether leaving Golden Boy is the right choice for his career.

Canelo is very close to Ryan Garcia and Eddie Reynoso who has been training Canelo since he was 13 years old is now Ryan's trainer. Oscar would have to be super ****** to pisss Canelo off again after Oscar's self dealing with the DAZN at Canelo's expense. Golden Boy Promotions is quickly becoming a joke.

Oscar kinda saying the kid is his best prospect cuz are we realllllllly thinking Vergil isnt a contender now. Hes a contender in my book. So if Oscar is saying the kid is #2 then hes reallllllly #1 cuz Vergil isnt in that category anymore.

Beyond that I agree with the kid overall in that these mfers need to talk behind the scenes. This on twitter sh^t is getting weird while Oscar is dogging SM.

Something tells me that there are probably legitimate reasons why GBP is throwing him under the bus. If he's as much of a cash cow as he claims they would humor alot of antics to continue to reap the profit. There are at least 3 possibilities and they aren't mutually exclusive: 1) he doesn't bring in as much revenue with his social media followers would seem to indicate, 2) he's being more of a problem/diva than that revenue is worth to GBP and 3) GBP is taking advantage of his buzz to push other fighters his cards and not compensating Garcia properly for that.

GBP seems to be pushing him to a higher level of competition in Duno and Garcia seems hesitant (wether that be the difficulty of opponent or the compensation for it).

Maybe, but the whole Canelo & DAZN f#ckery seems to indicate there are issues among Golden Boy that are creating relationship issues with several boxers. I even heard on a podcast that Gabe Rosado has issues with Golden Boy lately & hes not a diva at all. Hes a mfer who seems to bend to make fights. I mean they effed the 2nd biggest boxing holiday of the year with all this miscommunication with their biggest name & a platform ffs. Thats a insanely bad outcome for Golden Boy.

I think Oscar fell off the wagon myself. And I think there are issues through out the company because of that, but thats just my theory. I think itll be awhile before we know the true story here.

What the Hell is going on over there at Golden Boy? That place has become an absolute zoo. It seems like all of Oscar De La Hoya's stars are bucking and rebelling against him.

I know in the case of Ryan Garcia, he is being heavily influenced by Canelo Alvarez. He is now even asking to be released from his GB promotions contract. There seems to be be a lot of backstabbing, chaos and mutiny over there.

The fact is Vergil Ortiz is just slightly above Ryan Garcia in terms of being the top prospect over at Golden Boy but Oscar should have never gone public with it.

I dont even see Vergil as a prospect anymore thats how high I see him. Maybe you can argue hes only a fringe contender, but hes firmly in contender status now in my book.
