White supremacist western world keeping the black ukrainian man down. Such a shame, lomachenko is just another victim, if he was blonde haired and blue eyed things would be different

Right. I mean everything is recorded today and used against you. There’s only a few talkers that can run their mouth and add to a promotion. Unless ur genuinely good at it, becomes cringe worthy. The maxim is talk is cheap in the fight game. Course if u can do it in a way that entertains than that’s great but that’s rare. Like u said u rarely get soundbites from Canelo. He shows up in shape and fights. There will always be a niche for yappers but I hope all involved in this sport remember the real last word is in the ring.

I think you are speaking for yourself. Either that or you didn’t read my comment. Could be both. Tank definitely a household name amongst his ethnic group in America.

It's funny how people are shitting on Davis when he'd be Loma's single best win to date, IF he could beat him. This win would top Loma's whole resume. Make the fight, talk is cheap.

Loma's style is also black American friendly, so he'd gain tons of fans and popularity from this.

Not even Mikey would put Loma over the top. I like Mikey, but he's boring, and has no swag or unique style in the ring. Mikey can also be robotical.

Great...a “household name” amongst the fan base that supports their fighters the least in terms of actually spending money to watch them. To be a star, you need crossover appeal...not just a niche audience.

Dude has been making 200-400 PPV buys already just before he even fought Dela Hoya. Let alone, more than 1M accumulated PPV buys for the Morales trilogy. Mexican rivalry is the primary reason for Pacquiao's increased marketability. There was no Mayweather in the storyline in his career at that time. They were weight classes apart.

Too bad tank’s people don’t want to put him anywhere near loma anytime soon. I mean that genuinely, because I’m a fan of both and would love to see that fight...especially before loma is diminished and it’s less meaningful. Hopefully they both keep winning and it happens within the next couple years.

That’s only part of the equation

He’s too small to be a cross over he’s maxed out at 135 and at that size the US public won’t get behind him

Also the names available to him to fight don’t bring the star power either so John Q Public could care less if they’re the best. I wouldn’t be surprised if Loma never fights The only 2 names that are Available to make a big fight with ( Mikey/Tank ) because of their associations

Loma seems content with when it’s all said and done he’d have made millions and be regarded as one of the best if not the best in his era , Honestly that’s not a bad position to be in

I am not arguing with you. I am just stating that making a superstar in boxing is not easy for anyone, regardless if they can speak english or not. I mentioned the 147 pounders myself as they get the most attention these days below heavyweight. My point was even though the 147lb guys are more popular than most, becoming a superstar will be difficult for even them.
