if Floyd decides to fight Baldi and wins, he will no doubt be the "ring" champ at 147 BUT he will not have proven himself against the best once again in another weight class.
I agree with you that Floyd was not the champ at 140, but your analysis here says that IF Floyd had beaten Hatton and not Cotto then he would not have been the champ at 140 because he hadn't taken on all worthy opponents. If Floyd beats Baldomir he will be a recognized champ at 147. Now if you are talking legacy all boxing fans like us will know that even though he was the linear champ at 147, he avoided fighting a dangerous titlist in Margarito. On the other hand our dislike of Floyd's career management shouldn't jade our opinons of his accomplishments.

he is a LEGIT jr middleweight u mean and he is a current paper title holder. Floyd didnt fight the best at 140 because they didnt want to fight. And what makes Margarito the best at 147, I know u not talking about his skill, I know u not talking about his record, I know u not talking about his weak belt. who did Margarito beat at 147, HELL AT ALL, to make him the best at 147?

If he Baldo it's ok, because he is the true champ. But i really Dont care i'd rather see see Margarito and Baldo fight if i could pick any fight. PBF knows how easy he would and could beat Tony,

I think it is fair to say that both of them are fairly untested at welterweight. Margarito won the title in a title eliminator and has only beaten Cintron; 6 heads Lewis; and Gomez in terms of big names. Floyd beat Mitchell and Judah. Both of these resumes leave plenty to do at WW. Margarito never fought any of the other recognized title holders like Collazo or Judah. Mayweather won a totally bogus title from a defeated Judah. Neither of them are the real champion of the division. Baldomir is plain and simple. He beat the undisputed champion and thereby became the champ. If I had to pick a resume, I choose Floyd's because at least he beat Judah who recently was "the man" at 147.

All that what u said is true, Floyd did beat Sharmba and Zab. That was Sharmba 1st fight at welter and they both did get KO by Kostya, true. But the question I asked was " Who did MARGARITO beat at all to even make him the best at 147?" What makes Margarito the best? By the way Sharmba and Zab skills and career are better. Sharmba and Zab have more accomplishments in the sport and fought better fighters. margarito has never faced someone of Kostya caliber, let alone Mayweather's caliber. U want Floyd to fight the best at 147, what makes Margarito the best?
