Floyd definitely doesn't want to fight Margarito right now... that is for sure. Why? It really doesn't matter to me because I am a boxing fan and if the fight isn't going to happen my complaining isn't going to do anything. If there is a silver lining to this, its that it sets up the possibility of a Floyd-Margarito fight down the road. No question that Floyd-Margarito in a year would make more $ than one right now. As long as Floyd fights someone other than SPinks I will be fine. Baldomir isn't flashy and can't compete with Floyd's skills but he has heart and a steel chin so I think the fight could be interesting. My main point is I don't like to say that just because Floyd and Margarito couldn't work out a fight for this particular date that one is ducking the other. If this fight NEVER happens then I will be happy to admit that Floyd is ducking Margarito

Only thing that should matter to us is skill or legacy. margarito doesnt have Floyd's skill and does nothing for Floyd's legacy. There is no winning in that fight right now to me as a fan. Baldomier doesnt have Floyd's skill either but its more than Margarito. Baldomier does provide legacy with him being the welterweight champ and a win over him would make Floyd the linear champ at another weight division. Spinks has Floyd skill or close to it and does a lot for his legacy unfortunately. A win over Spinks will make him a champion 5 times in 5 different weight classes and he will also beat the #1 ranked boxer at 154. Also it makes it even more enticing for Delahoya to fight him and unify the titles. I think the Spinks fight would prolly be boring, but it is still 2 champions who have had some major accomplishments thru their careers.

We dont know how much he makes, we dont know whats in the contract, we just dont know. Why are we speculating on what we dont know or cant see? It was just said, thats it. Less speculate on what we do know as to why Floyd aint fighting Margarito. He has a lackluster career, he got the weakest belt at 147, their are other fighters who are available who have better careers and better belts (Spinks and Baldomier). Since when as the pound for pound best boxer in the world have to PROVE himself. His position is already solidified as one of the best, now ask yourself does Margarito do anything to make him the best boxer in history?

you know im one of the biggest mayweather fans out there, at this time no one is on his level but after mosley came out and said he would not fight this year. i thought that we would see mayweather-margarito but now everything points to this fight not happening. so its going to be mayweather-baldy or mayweather-spinks both are not worth $50 in my opinion. so the question is do i think floyd is afraid of margarito.. simple answer is NO. Is he ducking margarito at this time... yes.
