Rahman KTFO Lewis in round 5. That isn't a late-round KO.

Your right my bad. Been a very long time since I watched it. I remembered it going a bit longer.

Ortiz shouldn't have signed the contract or gotten it changed before he signed it. I really don't get the whining from his side. Maybe he signed it not thinking he could win on short notice. Either way, now that he won it doesn't change the fact he signed a contract with agreed upon terms for the rematch in it

He was offered that, but he actually got 10.5 mil because that was in the contract.

Rahman tried to fight someone else. Ruiz isn't trying to fight anyone but AJ

I dont think Andy Ruiz has made 9 million from all his previous fights combined until the 1st Joshua fight. No other heavyweight in the division is seeing 9 million or more either so i dont understand your point. You make it sound like all Heavies are seeing 20-25 mill a fight. You know thats not happening.

I don’t think Ruiz is trying NOT to honour the rematch, he is however trying not to honour everything in the contract. We shall see how this plays out, I think a little mediation would help.

That's true, and another thing to consider is that every rematch clause is drawn up for a specific fight, so they are not all the same.

The US State Department rate Saudi Arabia and the UK as equally safe for US citizen's to visit, so I don't think that would stand up in court.

Also, the WBSS finals were held in SA last year, and there were no security problems involved at all.

But he is refusing to fight AJ on the terms he agreed to in the rematch clause. That's the issue.

And to save you the trouble of asking .. no, I haven't seen the contract.
