A rematch clause is a contract.

As i said earlier, the rematch clause has to have the purses in it or a fighter can get out of a rematch by not accepting the purse.

FFS you're unbelievably dumb with zero common sense.

A rematch clause is not a contract it's only a part of it,and most contracts don't even have rematch clauses, they don't have to have a fixed amount for something that's hardly even used, your really dumb and you have no idea how the business side of boxing works,if rematch clauses was so iron clad like you think Ruiz wouldn't be saying the fight gonna be on his terms, cleary his team no something you don't idiot

Almost every voluntary defence by a champ has a rematch clause. Every one will have the purses in. Of course they have fixed amounts, because 99%+ of fights don't have percentages. Take an IQ test and prove it's over 80 because i can't see it. You're too slow and find it difficult to understand anything.

I don't think OP knows how contracts work. Or D- troll thread.

This could very well be a thing doe. I hadn't thought about this til Warren brought it up, but this could be a deal breaker without knowing the exact details of the contract.

Its also possible there is something in the contract that makes it non-binding. This gets talked about with UFC contracts cuz I've heard lawyers suggest that if any fighter took the UFC to court their contracts could be deemed illegal. With Eddie being more acquainted with UK boxing than US boxing I suspect there could be something in there that doesn't make it binding from the US legal system point of view. But that's a whole thread of its own & highly speculative.

This is the main reason people don't like dealing with Hearn. The dude always puts a poison pill in his contracts. No way should Ruiz take the same money when Eddie is going around talking about the money Saudi Arabia is putting up.

A contracts a contract. The terms don't change and Andy should take the fight and honor the agreement. If he pulls it off again then hes the man and calls the shots.

I hope you know that's not true.

The US government cautions against going to Mexico. Not Saudi Arabia. Both countries are level 2 threats.

Ruiz has already signalled his intention to fight in a level 2 area (Tijuana). Saudi is not a problem and he has nothing in court to back him up on that.
