I've been giving you too much credit.

      Really? Who?

Havent you asked yourself why there is so much commotion around making this fight happen?

        2. Pretty sure he never said that.
Most people are okay with a trilogy.

Gennady did say that he was a part owner of DAZN (he has stock in DAZN) and also suggested he is Canelos boss lol

The Jacobs fight was good and well received. Most casuals I know didnt even know GGG fought Steve Rolls in June. In fact they're under the impression GGG retired after Canelo rematch XD

It's not surprising though because taking off 9-10 months is a terrible idea. Even when Floyd took long breaks he was active in social media, interviews, WWE, Dancing with the Stars, staying relevant in some way. People arent even aware GGG is still fighting ffs...

Are you suggesting a jacobs rematch would generate more interest than a 3rd g fight? I was at that fight and i can tell you the fans were not entertained.

Even Canelo moved up from 154 to 160 and he’s planning to fight at 168 and 175.

Why’s your GGG stuck at 160 but would gladly fight someone who’s 147 like Kell Brook?

Nah, I actually gave you and the overrated cherrypicker too much time.

Why would I not think the cash cow and most powerful boxer in the sport would not be in on the decision making with his promoter on this?
So Canelo is desperate for the Golovkin fight is what you're telling me?

Because that's what his promoter and DAZN are trying to force him to do atm. Fight Golovkin.

Yes, Canelo has been moving up, he is naturally getting heavier because he's getting older. He was holding on to 154 for as long as he possibly could. He was a natural MW for years before he absolutely had to move.

Planning to fight at 168 and 175? That will be great when he does that without weight restricting his opponents and I'll give him credit for that...if and when.

But you still haven’t answered why GGG would gladly fight guys who’re 147 and 154 but won’t fight anyone at 168.

And who stays in one weight class throughout his career when he’s not a heavyweight?

It is only the most profitable because more people want to see it than any other alternative fight.

Maybe you don't think it's necessary but your minority opinion on that is irrelevant, what is relevant is that the majority of people either have Golovkin winning both previous matches or at worst the fighters are 1-1 now. This is why they want a 3rd fight.

The fighter's interest (other than getting paid) are far from being paramount and are also totally irrelevant to this discussion. This is business for pity's sake, nobody gives a phck, nor should they, if Canelo likes Golovkin or doesn't.
This used to be enough of a reason to make a fight. Now we have “fans” making excuses like “canelo doesn’t like ggg”...like that’s a legit reason to avoid a fight the entire sport wants lol.
