Canelo is big enough to promote himself and he doesn't need both DAZN and GBP. I hope AJ learns from this saga and drop both Matchroom and DAZN after beating Ruiz in the rematch. There are other ways to maximise earnings than allow people dictate to you against your wishes.
You would have to be incredibly biased or just not thinking straight to believe that Dazn has any other motive than making a profit. The 3rd fight between Canelo and Golovkin is the fight they want only because it would be the most profitable. It is only the most profitable because more people want to see it than any other alternative fight.

Maybe you don't think it's necessary but your minority opinion on that is irrelevant, what is relevant is that the majority of people either have Golovkin winning both previous matches or at worst the fighters are 1-1 now. This is why they want a 3rd fight.

The fighter's interest (other than getting paid) are far from being paramount and are also totally irrelevant to this discussion. This is business for pity's sake, nobody gives a phck, nor should they, if Canelo likes Golovkin or doesn't.

He doesn't want to fight GGG again. He doesn't want to fight Charlo. He wants to fight opponents that are easy to beat for the rest of his DAZN deal. DAZN obviously wants more **** for their buck.
Nah, there are guys I trust saying this....Even some non-reporters. The beef is real between GBP and Canelo.

I only mention this because I think there is a really good chance that DAZN is not as helpless of a victim as these stories suggest.

The story so far has to have DAZN never once asking Canelo about a 3rd fight or who he would like to fight in the first couple years of the contract before signing him to a 10 fight 350 million deal. Or before signing ggg to a 15 mil per fight 6 figure deal. Or never once brought this up during off time during the promotional tour for the Jacobs fight.

I normally would not think its possible for this to be the case but DAZN has not exactly shown themselves to be competent.

I just get the feeling that DAZN knew that Canelo did not want this fight and that while Skipper and Oscar were doing lines Oscar told skipper don't worry he will talk him into it. And he figured if he put enough pressure Canelo would cave.
Certainly possible, and yes no leaks from GBP. But there are some guys who aren't reporters saying the same thing and I doubt they have any DAZN sources.

This sounds like more of a GBP f#ck up to me vs a DAZN f#ck up first off. But its a giant L for DAZN that Canelo isn't fighting in September vs f#cking someone.

It appears that GBP agreed to a deal with DAZN, since they hold Canelo's promotional rights, that Canelo would fight GGG a third time on DAZN & GBP didn't ask Canelo's if he approved of that & it specifically sounds like Canelo told GBP that he didn't want to fight GGG again.

              2. Pretty sure he never said that.
He got that money because of Canelo. That limited bum beater isn’t box office and we all saw how his last fight bombed at the box office.

Canelo can fight a couple of boxers and still generate the same level of interest. But can GGG do the same?

GGG is washed up and apart from being overhyped at his prime, he didn’t beat anyone with a pulse.

Why would Canelo be in on something he CLEARLY didn't want?

He stated how many times he didn't want to fight GGG again because of all the shit he talked? Then he said "Fine, get a belt at least - fight Andrade first."

GGG refused and continued to shit talk. Then Canelo said, "Nope, I am never fighting him now."

This is when DAZN conspired with GBP to have IBF strip Canelo and have Golovkin fight Derevychenko for the title, in a ploy to "force" Canelo to fight Golovkin in May.

Canelo is having none of it.

And the only reason he is set is because of Canelo. Big difference between making $5 million before taxes and expenses vs making $15-20 million. Life changing difference.
