He didn't look any different. He has KO's when enrolled in VADA. he most likely took it easy on Mikey.

Errol can beat Pacquiao to become a "STAR," but he has to beat Crawford (or Canelo) to be considered "THE BEST!"
AT this stage I don't think beating Manny has the same cache. Between PPV sales and illegal streams, some 15 million fans saw the Floyd fight and he looked weak and terrible. His star power has been severely lacking ever since.

Beating Manny in a big PPV will elevate him, but he needs to win a fight he isn't the runaway favorite in to make the leap to stardom.

We can't just make younger equate to better. Which, going back to my original post, is why if a Richard Hamilton or Jerry Stackhouse gets the better of Jordan when he was on the Wizards, it doesn't affect his legacy.

Now if Manny beats Crawford and Spence, 2 top 5 p4p fighters, then I think it fair to look at those wins like you do a Duran over Davey Moore or a Barrera over Hamed.

But he still wouldn't pass Floyd, the same way LeBron winning a couple titles late in his career will not elevate him past Jordan.
I like Floyd for the record. My wife gave me a collection of fights on DVD years ago and it was Floyd, Roy Jones, Bhop, Sugar Ray Leonard, Tyson, and Ali

Now I am a huge fan of basketball also. There is a segment who believes Lebron is better than MJ right now looking at both of their careers and almost every factor you would use to weigh both of them. But I am with MJ all day. I think he is the goat, some people disagree just like they will with Manny and Floyd. I think Floyd’s better. I guess the point I was making if I use your analogy. It would be like Lebron beating the Warriors in their prime last year with his new Lakers team without the addition of Anthony Davis. Or Lebron beating that warriors team the year before with the average players he had on the cavs before he went to the lakers. Kyrie Irving was on the Celtics that year and Lebron only had Kevin Love. So some people would justify with (2) more titles and the teams Lebron won them with would have said 5-3 in finals is better than MJ’s 6-0. Like I said earlier, some people actually have the nerve to say today that 3-5 LJ is better than 6-0 MJ.

Pac didn't duck. Haymon runs the show. Haymon figured Pac would be more willing to fight Spence than Thurman would so he put them in together with the hopes that Pac takes that belt from Thurman & Spence takes the belt from Porter then Spence beats Pac and holds 3 belts. Then they use that as leverage against bud who only holds 1. Then they fight and if Spence wins he becomes undisputed and possibly the next biggest star

But I don’t get into the wins and losses as a pure boxing fan.

Like you said, depends on who you ask.
Good points, but it's not just the head-to-head for me. I look at that, the wins and losses and what they do in the ring. For me, I'm interested in how a fighter overcomes adversity. What do you do if a fighter is faster than you (Judah)? What if he's fast but stronger than you (Canelo)? Can you come back from being down early (Judah, Maidana)? Manny complained about being injured, so what happens if you get injured in the fight (stopped Augustus with 7 punch left hooks)? Then there is almost getting KO'd by Mosely. The other big thing for me is, if you go back and watch the full telecasts of the Mayweather fights from the 1st, he was considered a pucher and KO artist. That's how he was talked about him back then. So the biggest adversity was overcoming brittle hands. He had to adjust his game and win a different way. If you got speed and power like Manny throughout your career, that's great but what if something compromises one of those assets? Can you keep winning?

excuses excuses!! but when it was manny, it was because he's off the peds? but when it comes to spencer, "he most likely took it easy on mikey" lmao!! why would he do that for? didnt spence said he felt disrespected when mikey called him out and that's why he took on this fight???? like i said, vada testing, spence has no ko. so im all for this too.

All that changes if he beats Thurman! The casuals will be screaming for more Manny! The only question is "would Manny fight Spence?" The article says Pac came to see Mikey! I think if we get Garcia vs. Garcia (Please Jah), and Mikey wins, I could see Pacquiao going that way, and at 40, I wouldn't be mad at him! However, if he chooses Spence, no less than 750K in PPV sales, and no less than 50K at AT&T Stadium! Maybe even more if he fights Mikey @ AT&T?

I think the whole "if x fighter beats Pac, then x fighter becomes a star" thing is kinda silly. I mean did Horn become a star? Did Bradley? Bradley got rich but ask any causal who Tim Bradley is & I'd bet anything they'd have no clue & he fought Pac 3x.

I think just fighting Pacquiao gets you a considerable amount of exposure but it doesn't guarantee stardom.

Pac woulda been a star regardless if he beat the sh-t out of Dela hoya or not. It was a different time.

I think Spence has the potential to be a star & I don't think he needs Pac to do that.

Naah.. But if we were to decide who is the best in being the best combo hugger and runner of boxing.. Then I have to put my money on Floyd. Hands down. He's the best there is.

That is if we are about to watch a marathon huggathon event.

                    Floyd all day!

Ok, I am asking because I saw a statement from them on this topic.

Accusations aimed at both fighters followed. Pacquiao’s representative Sean Gibbons then moved to clear things up regarding the July 20 bout.

“Nevada State Athletic Commission is using VADA style testing for Manny Pacquiao’s fight with Keith Thurman,” Gibbons exclusively told World Boxing News.

“It should also be noted that Senator Pacquiao is enrolled in the World Boxing Council / Voluntary Anti-Doping Agency (VADA) 365 24/7 program,” he added.
