Comments Thread For: Roach: If Pacquiao Is Offered Spence, We Won't Turn It Down

Freddie Roach recognizes the inherent danger in a 40-year-old boxer facing far younger, strong champions who are in their physical primes. But if Manny Pacquiao beats Keith Thurman on July 20 in Las Vegas, Roach wouldn't turn down another welterweight title unification fight against Errol Spence Jr. The 29-year-old Spence appears more formidable than Thurman at this point in their careers, yet Pacquiao wants to continue fighting top opponents in pay-per-view events that'll pay him eight-figure purses.

If Pacquiao beats Thurman then a unification against Spence would be huge.

That fight would be perfect to hold at the Dallas Cowboys stadium.

Well according to Coppinger, that's the plan.

Assuming ofcourse Pac gets through Thurman and Spence gets through Porter.

if this fight happens, i hope spence will at least demand for random blood testing because we all know manny is not gonna ask for it right......

Here is the thing, IF manny in his 40’s can beat Thurman and goes on to fight Spence or Porter or Crawford and finds a way to beat them, better legacy than Floyd. And even if Manny is competitive in those fights, people will look at Floyd and say, why didn’t you stick around and fight the young lions. It won’t look good for Floyd, especially with him closing out his career with the likes of Berto, Conor, and some Japanese guy overseas.
