Your entitled to your opinion and other boxing fans are of the same mindset. And I agree with you. Some people may think otherwise if Manny beats some young lions in the division today. That’s my point.

Don't think taking an L to a fighter makes it impossible to eclipse him on a legacy scale but again legacy is subjective as are the top fighters all time lists which neither of these two crack the top 5 on for me.

Is he or is he not in 365 random testing? Seems he is in one thread and he isn't in the other. Gotta say though..Errol didn't look great against Garcia with testing..just saying.
NO he is not, at least from what I can tell. I address it in Spoon's thread.

Errol is enrolled in VADA so he will look the same as he always does. Without VADA/USADA testing, Manny gtes KO wins (Matthysse) with the VADA/USAD testing he gets 12 rd UD's (Broner).

It wouldn’t have been possible if he didn’t keep winning and people hoping he would lose-LOL! Clever game plan, executed to perfection financially.
True indeed! Clever game plan both INSIDE and OUTSIDE the ring! Castillo, Corrales, Judah, De La Hoya, Mosely, Cotto, Canelo, Pacquiao, and richest prize fighter of all time! Much respect!

The people that think that , as the threads show, are either Floyd uber haters or Manny diehards. I think boxing fans recognize that Thurman, for example, while younger than Cotto, Manny, ODH, Shane and JMM when Floyd fought them is not as good now as they were at the age they fought Floyd.

We can't just make younger equate to better. Which, going back to my original post, is why if a Richard Hamilton or Jerry Stackhouse gets the better of Jordan when he was on the Wizards, it doesn't affect his legacy.

Now if Manny beats Crawford and Spence, 2 top 5 p4p fighters, then I think it fair to look at those wins like you do a Duran over Davey Moore or a Barrera over Hamed.

But he still wouldn't pass Floyd, the same way LeBron winning a couple titles late in his career will not elevate him past Jordan.

negative. spence just barely did vada testing for the mikey fight. no ko. went all 12rds against a smaller fighter. at least manny was fighting guys that was his size or bigger. see what i mean, LOL.

When you look at Floyd’s resume, he got some names in there, the ones you mentioned and these too, Genaro Hernandez, Arturo Gatti, Baldomir, Guerrero, Ortiz, Maidana,

That isn't enough for Spence to be a star. he will need to beat Crawford or Floyd after Manny to really break out.
I disagree. If Pacquiao beats Thurman, and Spence beats Pacquiao, he's a STAR! That fight would be huge, and Jerry Jones would be all over it! However, that win does not make him "better" than Bud Crawford! Remember how the Brits kept saying Joshua was the best because he had three belts, and Wilder only had one? Same thing! Errol can beat Pacquiao to become a "STAR," but he has to beat Crawford (or Canelo) to be considered "THE BEST!"
